and u must not go to guv much, cause she was definately not half decent, she was terrible, not only for an internation dj, but for a dj in general. Go next week if u want to hear some "solid" tracks, or the week after for lawrence.

lol!

Sam's actually quite a regular @ GUV, he's part of what we call the FRC (Front row crew!)

He's defenitely entitled to his opinion as the rest of us

is that all toronto has come to is rely on mark oliver to bang things out ya he is an ok dj but man there are so many more djs in toronto that would destroy him like all us little djs never get any chances to play anywhere cause of him, i dont hate him but he needs to let other people take prime time slots, oh ya and sandra sucks why is she so popular anyways

to be honest, every sandra collins set i've heard lately had me intensely pumped up for her, and news of her last preformance being real good i had high expectations. perhaps it was a bad night for her, or shes breaking into a new style, but what i had assumed of her, was nothing like what she spun. her usual style is very much close to mark oliver i find, others may agree/disagree. oliver spins more trance than her, but oliver prior to say 3am, sounds alot like every Collins set ive heard.
but dam... i'd do her. haha

Too bad you could probably never spin a 8+ hour set, every saturday of the month for an entire year and for 8 years, anywhere close to Marks sets. Just because you may have some better tracks then him doesn't make you a better dj!

who says i cant, im not saying im a better dj but im just simply saying i would love to do a vs set and play with him one day i do have respect for what hes done for the club and rave scene in canada he is a pioneer in this country he started so much and people dont even realize, its not very hard to spinn for 8 hrs

you bet us ANY money that YOU have better tracks than a man who does nothing but buy new records on a weekly basis....

plz...

Posted by Danny White on Nov-28-2005 00:53:

who knows but id really love it to, i just think me and mark would really tear shit up, how id go about arranging that sorta thing i dont know,

Posted by waynoinsano on Nov-28-2005 01:03:

now im not the largest M.O. fan. but i give credit where credit is due, and credit is due with M.O. and not with you, if this offends you, well i apologize but experiance, and consistancy are assettes that i believe Mark has you owned by.

you say you'd tear the place up with trance, so be it.
mark will tear it up with trance, house you name it.
mark may not be the leading canadian dj, but thats because hes a family man, whos got a great residency and knows his stuff. he could open for anyone, and close just the same.
ex. infected mushroom, infusion, and im very interested in how he will open for marco, but i assume it will be to my enjoyment.

i dont want beef, im just stating my opinion.

Posted by Danny White on Nov-28-2005 01:06:

actually besides max graham mark is one of the top djs in canada, all im saying is i just love to battle him out

Just cause you have all the tracks that the big boys have doesn't make you a great DJ.

Produce a few things and let us judge it.

Posted by Danny White on Nov-28-2005 01:44:

look im not saying that im better then him, i just said before that ya hes good but he needs to let other people take some fame, and that id love to do a vs set with him, and im actually working on a label and producing, its hard stuff to do, alot more work then mixing records anyone can do that

Posted by shanny on Nov-28-2005 01:47:

Last night in the gallery Simon Jain and Sydney Blu played a track that was amazingly dirty, then switched to almost epic house, if there is such a thing.
It's a vague description, but anyone have any idea what i'm talking about?
It stood out like crazy, and i have to have it.

Posted by Danny White on Nov-28-2005 01:53:

i wouldnt call it epic house just more mellow, its so hard to labelize a genre these days, as armin says, but i do know the sound your talking about or atleast i think i do

Listen up here.... Mark Oliver doesn't have to do SHIT for you, or anyone else. He got where he is today from YEARS of hard work, not from some 'old and tired' DJ who stepped aside to let others 'get some fame'. He's probably been DJ'ing longer than you've been walking. You come off as such an idiot with those comments.... If you have a problem with whomever does the bookings at a club where he's a resident, then take it up with them- send in your demo, see if u get a gig. Don't go shooting your mouth off with stupid, immature comments like that on a public message board, cuz IF and when u ever break thru, people will remember those dumb comments of yours.... You don't see any other professional DJ's badmouthing each other like this, no matter how much they hate each other.

ha your jokes you obviously didnt read what i said before
