First thing I've liked from Tiesto since, wow, Traffic I guess. Maybe the remix of Venus if you count Traffic as a fluke.

Have yet to hear the Tilt mix, but it sounds like I'm not missing much, sadly.

liar. you liked ancient history

tilt remix is excellent
the other guy that rated it probably doesn't know how to listen to prog, or doesn't know what prog is

I usually don't like tilt's productions that much because it's TOO proggy and minimalish but this is good.
actually listen to the last half of it instead of listening to the intro and assuming its boring prog

Priceless quote

Do you need to listen to prog somehow differently than other kinds of music? I guess I don't know how to listen to prog either since I found the remix boring.

Posted by Ian on Dec-06-2005 22:33:

the tilt remix is just watered down pap, it's not original enough to be a remix & has absolutely nothing the original doesn't. Sad really but it's typical of anything moor touches

Posted by mndeg on Dec-06-2005 22:39:

prog is an aquired taste. If you play prog at a puffy concert people aren't gonna ilke it. Nor at a Garth Brooks concert.
So are many other genres of EDM, Didn't understand flight 643 or xpander when I heard them at first.

Most dumb quote i've ever heard... that idiot tilt remix just drains the energy and inspiration that's put in the original.
And it IS boring prog; and don't tell us to learn how to listen to it; are you perhaps implying that progressive is superior to trance ? ... Pathetic. I like several progressive trance tunes; but this one is just bullshit itself!

so there's a way to listen to music now?

one of the dumber posts indeed.

Posted by mndeg on Dec-07-2005 01:52:

yes, there is
want to try to refute it?
wait, you can't.
LOL

the end of Tiesto Presents Allure - The Love We Lost (Tilt Remix) is pretty nice
I'm definitely not gonna waste time with people that don't know how to listen to songs
"..fast forward.. no breakdown? OMG SUCKS!I"H#$!@O"
rofl

sample here

It's ok.Can't say that it sucks but i was expecting way more from Andy.

Posted by Cosmos on Dec-08-2005 20:06:

the original is probably one of the top5 worst tunes i have heard this year. the tilt remix is ok but nothing to get exited about.. i have heard the mp3-release ;:E

and No, No I don't. I get way more music from being legit than giving stuff to some 16 year old kid (not meaning you but some scene members in general) who get erections over 0 day stuff.

as for the tune. Original = 8/10 - very good
tilt remix = 3/10 - uninspiring

I have to agree here. The loves we lost for me is the best work of tiesto in 2005.Its innovative no usual basslines, not the usual flow, not the usual structure, and it has that good, deep and meaningful melody a tune should have .For all the "trance" ppl that calling the music change of style today an evolution of the old school i urge them to listen to this track as this is a true evolution of the old school
Now the tilt remix is a shity remix .Really like a dance mainstream tune not even giving the basics

Pity it was made at the start of 2004 then.

Ian LOL at the OMG 320, totally hit the nail on the head.

I meant that post to be a joke, as in i would assume you had PM's asking you to rip and such, and i was mocking the entire mp3 thing.

always. However as I get more stuff & better stuff from staying legit, it doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Not at all.. I think its a great track.

Originality could be questioned though. Its a splice of
a) Sienna - La Differenza (intro and outro beat sections)

b) Paula Cole - She Cant Feel Anything Anymore

it also sounds very much like the original mix of freefall - skydive in places.

then again, most of tijs' best works have been taking other peoples stuff eg.
dallas4pm (Slide - Closure (lounge-tech mix)
urban train (his remix of rvg)

Indeed in a recent interview he even played on those words when asked about his productions, saying he wasn't about making tracks using samples or effects, but based on the inspiration he gets when he hears a certain tune or melody.

hypothetically then, that means Traffic was inspired by Psychofuk... not actually ripping it off.
