i wear my yellow band with pride, because i like the colour. dont worry, i got it for free and didnt give anything to charity. and im also rather clueless to what it respresents

you want a stupid fad?

look at most < 18 males nowadays in america
what do they wear?

- white shirt (more like a skirt to me) that is down even past their knees
- white bandana with a black baseball cap over it or vice versa
- some stupid backpack on the back that looks like a small version of a punching bag
- and they all walk the same exact way - side to side like a bunch of penguins

what is wrong with the youth of today?

as far as dress code goes: I see the trend split into 3 camps:

Camp 1 (more like a ghetto): You already described

Camp 2: "That 70's show" crowd. You know - kids who wished they lived in 70's and their dress code reflects that.

Camp 3: Never changing, run of the mill Kmart/Walmart/Shitmart redneck/white trash/urban and any variation in between.

BUT....

nONE of these styles are as offensive as what we used to wear in our day.

BUGLE BOY anyone?

Vanilla Ice hairstyle?

MC Hammer banana pants?

All I need to do is look at my HS photos and CASE BECOMES CLOSED!

I cut up high school a couple different ways

Camp 3: Never changing, run of the mill Kmart/Walmart/Shitmart redneck/white trash/urban and any variation in between. (yes, also agree, bland boring, meh.. those t shirts with like the ugliest massive car graphics and like stupid flames.. )

Camp 4: The preps, they dress nice, polos, lacoste, nice clean cut kids.. somewhat of label whores, but not as much as camp5...

Camp 5: the designer whores. armani, gucci, louis vuitton, etc etc etc etc.. theyve got it and they flaunt it, probably newly rich families, they like to flaunt the labels and the logos...

Camp 6: just the rich kids who dress like the preps cept wiht nicer labels, they have been rich all their life, their whole family has always been rich, its not a thing.. they just wear nice clothes, buts its not as obviously whory like camp 5.

hence the "in training" part - they haven't been educated fully to understand that there's a difference between wearing logoed D&G shirt and non-logoed but 3x more expensive D&G shirt.
