Fuck the Guv! The Gallery is the shiznit!!!! I think I have found my new residence!! As soon as I walked in I was like WTF, this is way too good to be true. Those mother ******s did an amazing job with this new room, hell it didn't feel like it was part of the shitty ass Guv. The sexy red and black decorations, the candles, and the fucking animal head above the deejay...wow...just wow...The atmosphere was very DARK and DIRTY! It was perfect! I even found myself a new lover.....the silky/velvet pillar/wall <3 It felt nice to touch her smooth exterior...Mmm imagine how she is underneath lol. I did not want to leave that place...and I never did heh.

And now for the sets....Caralho!!! Never have I danced soo much to opener sets. Addy + Barrato drained every ounce of energy in my body with bomb after bomb!! Those bitches both dropped Wonderland - Whitehorse!!! First time hearing it at a club...and with the animal head it made it sooo trippy for me lol. Absolutely mental tunes....and I went retarded to them...someone must of thought I was having a seisure LOL Daft Punk - Around the World!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Glaude...damn I wish I could have checked out his whole set....I was tired but I would have been able to withstand it...but when your friends are all baked it doesn't exactly make you enthusiastic heh.

He's one of my favs....and still is after last night. He dropped more techno this time around, and I absolutely digged it like a golddigger....Platinum!! OMG when he dropped the classic tune Mr. Oizo - Flat Beat!!! My ONLY complaint is that he didn't scratch with his/teeth/chin which is a bit of a dissapointment...

It was Awesome seeing my brothers Ang and Billy, and it was great partying with you Christina and Trisha!! And Nat is was nice running into you for a bit.

Oh yea....The Holy Dance Trinity ain't got nothing on us.

Got to Guv at 11:30 after a LONG hiatus from the place. Been a long time since I heard a MO set. Glaude played a really 'safe' set in the main room- seemed to lack to excitement and energy from his back to back sets w/Jelo or appearances at System. Rested a bit on the couches on stage during his set to save up for CL, and met a load of really fun Asian folks on the couch, and had a blast talking to them. (Hey Sean & Vinder! if you're reading)

I'm a longtime CL fan, but last night's set was a let down. I still love the guy, don't get me wrong, but his style was quite different from all the other times I've seen him- much darker & chuggier, and only in his last 1/2 hr did he bust out the more synthy stuff that he always plays. < Too little too late. I even left during his set to catch DG in the gallery (where he seemed to be letting loose a bit more- saw loads of TA's in there too).

The reason I'd been on hiatus from the Guv was my total hate of crowded hot nights in there (esp. in the summer heat), so it was nice to have a decent sized crowd w/out a sauna. To top it off, every time we cut thru the crowd, I was polite as always, saying 'excuse me' to everyone, and they all replied back w/ 'excuse me' or 'no problem'. It was a nice change from all the rudeness we're so used to.

Went home, caught 20 mins of sleep, and had to get up for round 2 (or is it 3?) of the weekend with very little sleep and too much excitement....

Hugs to everyone I shared good times with last night.

Was Tyler in attendance? I was expecting atleast 5 zillion replies by now!

Didn't take long to find find ghetto_fab (nice to finally meet you dude!) and Jay.
As the night progressed, I managed to spot a few other a TAs, although we were a rare breed this night.

The music was good, I think I caught more of Glaude that Lawrence (got bored towards the end of this set) and ended up in the Gallery for a little while, and the drink later before heading home at around 5ish.

Good night overall, lots of space to move around, above average crowd and good tunes.

ya i went to gallery at 11. crazy party i haven't danced that hard in a while. i think i found my new home lol.

i forgot the dj's name there but he was fucking wild. he played around the world by daft punk. i couldn't believe it lol.

Your quite right, most of the Toronto locals always have some sort of signature thing like Addy with his toque, Kenny G in a ball cap and smoke in hand etc. etc. I think I would be in shock if I saw Addy spin and he didn't have a toque on.

addy came by a pool party that i was at during the summer and he was wearing a toque too... on august 6th... the funny thing was, he wasnt sweating at all!
joe and fab are always wearing hats too.

I liked the Gallery. Not a big of fan of the music they were spinning in there, but it was tolerable.
Watching swamper doing the swamper slide was priceless though.

i dont think you were there when i first walked in to the gallery. i went straight to the dj booth to get some pics of glaude then walked around to find del. when he saw me, he dropped whatever he was doing and gave me a big hug. it was fucking hilarious. i have never been hugged by another man and that felt a little weird. if it wasnt del i probably would've punched the guy.

Well the night absolutly amazing I loved every min of it!!! i seen some old friends aswell as met new TA's props to the Ta's that were there that I seen you guys kick serious ass!!!!!!!!

Wow what a night!!!!..... started a lil rough got there around 12 ran into my buddy who dumps a half vile on my hand and i wasen't about to dump any off so i ended up in the acid lounge for the next hour comming back to reality..... but the reason i was there was to see Donald Glaude so it made my night when i got talk to him in the gallery after his set witch was off the hook. Props to CL as well what i herd form his set was great too! good night good beats great times.
