Thats actually not a bad idea, like the AIDs Awareness rally at dundas square, but I have no idea what the turn out was like for it. It was mighty cold.

It was poor. But a lot more people would have showed up had it not been so damn cold.

I propose, if the Liberals get re-elected, in the summer, we plan this rally out, spread the word, and then everyone will show up.

That's actually not a bad idea...

What a better way to bring the awareness of this issue to the regular club goers than organizing an event for this sole purpose... with a good DJ to headline it!

Damn...

I'd raise such a campaign against these fucken complainin' bitches that I'd go as far as bringing down that anti-rave by-law or whatever that came into effect a few years ago... TAKE 'EM DOWN, BIG TIME!

When somebody does organize a rally, how does the word spread so quickly? I think two years ago, TO had a few of the anti-war demonstrations, but I was always puzzled at how word got around.

Anybody have any ideas, suggestions?

If we only talk about it here on TA, that isnt very many people. Sure TA as a whole is huge, but TOTA is much smaller.

just propose the idea to all the various promoter groups around the city, have them all band together and promote it together Surely it affects them because theyre the ones who are in contact with the club goers for guest list and whatnot....

Agree...

Promotions... email is huge... I am sure enough of us know enough promotions people that a well placed ad for a rally will be very effective...

Who? What? Where? Why? When?

It affects everyone involved in the scene, from the clubs themselves to the partygoers, and everyone in between. Word of mouth/boards is probably the best way. Spread the word way in advance, and then put the hype machine into motion. Maybe even tip off some of the media outlets.

Hit the TV Stations with it...
