Fair enough that u don't like it and you're dissapointed about it, but is that track really hyped?
at least i've not sensed any hype about it

i think the only one hyping it is me thru my mixes which i only gave to about 10 friends i love that track.. its actually one of my favorite angello & ingrosso productions.. well to each their own (i think thats how it goes)

Dogzilla - Without You & Sander Van Doorn - SOS

Quite possibly two of the gashest and most overated tunes ive EVER heard. Have no idea how both got so big this year

Well, all of the Swedish House Mafia are playing it, David Guetta, Pete Tong, Ronski Speed to name a few of the big names playing it. I've heard it out elsewhere, too. Remember it didn't come out until late this year.

It also made the Ministry of Sound Annual 2006. That's a pretty good sampling of hyped tracks, right?

pyrda - aftermath

to this day i still can't see whats so great about it...and i love progressive/tech/deep/electro/minimal house

Was Shiver overrated? I thought most people on the forum agreed that it blew balls?

Posted by Matt on Dec-10-2005 06:45:

hey... I've had some fun with Shivers. When it was fresh, I had some good times rocking out to Shivers (original/Alex MORPH/Tribal/Hammer&Bennet remixes)...

but I draw the line when Dj Tatana is on remix duty.

Overrated tracks?

I just can't figure out Armin's Serenity... it just... isn't good.

totally m8, the piano is AMAZING. very powerful. Much like Arizona vs Passiva - Halo (Original) & (Danjo & Styles Mix)'s

Oct 8, 2005 @ Spundae LA ... lol.

My goodness, it was going on in multiple rooms at the same time that night!! Can

A thread like this will always just be full of the tracks that were played the most....

Because if a track isn't played a whole lot, it's very difficult for them to be overrated....

So this thread is complete pointless.

Dave

Errr..... because like them or not, they both work on the dancefloor?

Don't like those two tracks either, for the record, but they do the business where it counts.

I think 'Without You' gets my vote for most overrated - it's a decent enough track but not *that* great. Never seems to generate much energy on the dancefloor - almost seems like a mid-paced pop song.

Posted by DaveT on Dec-10-2005 08:52:

Without You Near seems to work well out here on the dance floor...just maybe too well cause it's played so damn much, lol.

armas - angels and Demons (Carl B Remix)

mad8 - work this pussy

As someone mentioned in a thread some time back, I think this year will really be remembered for Aftermath and Adrenaline, because people are so damn split over them. A lot of people hate them, while others really like them, and not the usual suspects. I happen to think they're both incredible in their simplicity and energy. I didn't know Adrenaline's name for about two months, and went mad trying to find out before the info finally surfaced. I heard Aftermath in the Digweed Global Gathering set, and without knowing anything about the track totally loved it from the first listen.

Anywho, I think it's really no contest with Air For Life. Shivers and Serenity were duly slammed, even by some Arminites, but Air For Life got praise in lots of places it really shouldn't have. Total crap.

Posted by Unique2701 on Dec-10-2005 12:09:

the gift & aftermath
I've tried to like them, but no, still don't get what the fuss is all about

Posted by MarathonMan on Dec-10-2005 12:13:

Deffo Aftermath - like an electro version of Xpander with farting noises!
