Is there a website where I can buy CDs that contain ocean noises (waves, birds etc...)?

While we're on the topic, has anyone ever noticed how the whole modern trance genre could be somewhat inspired by oceans, beaches and wave? Just the structure itself (intro, buildup, breakdown, buildup, climax) reminds me of a kind of abstract audio representation of wave crashes. Take a track like Jose Amnesia - The Eternal, it doesn't have any ocean sounds in it, but the breakdown and melody definately sound like waves to me. Or am I just looking too deep?

Amazing, no one mentioned Andrew Bennett - Ocean Drive yet. The song is amazing.

Mark Norman - Overkill

Overkill always makes me think of Overlord which was an operation where they stopped the boats some 50 meters or wahtever from teh shore and swim to the beach.

God, I love that song so much. There's just something about Trance songs that make you think of summer beaches, outdoor summer raves and sunshine and water, that you can get so lost in.

On an offside note, Armin's ASOT 202 Pre-Ibiza Summer Mix was just that- fantastic.

George hales' ocean drive is really good too. I was listening to it in the car on my way home from work. Though it is trance, the melody is really relaxing. The breakdown is perfect, about 2 minutes or so, then it builds up and rushes like it wants to make you to drive faster.. Overall a great track in my opinion. Check it out.

Silent Harmony - Save the Whales (1998), as heard in the outstanding Oakenfold Essential Mixes of 1999.

Most of the ambient intervals on BT's ESCM have the sound of water lapping a shore, and Sasha's Big Mash-up of Ima has lots of whale song at some point or another (I'm aware that Sasha's mix can be broken down into individual tracks, but I have the version of Ima which doesn't give you them unmixed).
