The 32 goes to -26db

How does the bass sound when you cut it all the way on the 32 (-26db)

And how do the features on the 32 compare to say the djm 600?

its better than any pioneer ones

I didnt even think of the Pioneers because I just dont like the way they sound. The knobs on the 600 feel more plastiky, the A&H have nice rubbery knobs that are small, butter smooth and precise.

The bass cut is fairly large but it doesnt kill it completely like I said for the 92. Also they EQ's only go +6 db (not like +12 on the DJM-600), to prevent you from peaking.

Basstard, I mean exactly that. If you take out the low end on a 92, there is NO LOW whatsoever left in the sound. But if you run all channels in the green like I do, -26db on the 32 becomes a little more pronounced, than when you're peaking yellow to red on the channels.

im positively gitty at the possibilities...

-26db will definately get the job done. it might not be a full cut, but it's more than enough to keep basslines from clashing. it's good enough to fade in the mids and highs like a poor mans cut-off filter...

i have a random question about the 32 that i'm hoping someone can answer.

can the filter be assigned the master too or just the individual channels?

Only the individual channels, but you can assign it to any combination of channels at once (i.e., 1, 1 and 3, all 3)

Posted by punjabi on Mar-15-2006 02:59:

so if I did all 3 would that have the same effect as a master?

if anyone could give me a definative answer as to why this is so much more expensive than other mixers of the type, id have peace of mind about purchasing it, but as it is the features dont seem too different than other units costing a few $100 less.

Yup it is, but it doesn't effect mixing at all. At first it'll be weird but you'll get used to is very quickly.

hehe. Its a good little piece.

I like it tilted upwards, makes those rear gains a little easier to reach.

You will enjoy it wizniz.
