sasha tore that place a new asshole last time he was there

I gotta be honest, last time Sasha was in LA I wasn't feelin' it at all. I think it was because Avalon was WAY beyond capacity. I ended up spending most of my time on the patio watching John Do and Justin Gourley. Sasha was way better when I saw him when Avalon was the crappy Palace. ;P But I will be there for this one, 'cuz I've never seen Zabs before and even though I'm not a huge fan of his style, no one can deny that he is a master, technically speaking. And hopefully Sasha'll be good, too.
Don't get me wrong, Airdrawndagger is my favorite album of all time, and Cloud Cuckoo is, I think, my favorite song, but I just didn't enjoy Sasha last time I saw him. I was so sad.
But hopefully on February 18th, redemption will be spelled, "S A S H A."

P.S.
Mylo's playing at El Rey the week before (on February 12th I think), if anyone's interested.

This is too bad considering what hes been playing recently.

Alot of people who have seen him recently, who dont like him much to start with have said he rocked it.

Sasha is back...

Last time I saw Sasha was at Avalon earlier this year was my first time seeing him live and he didn't live up my expectations.

Furthermore, it was a major fire hazard that night with the excess crowd and all. If it was just Sasha, I probably wouldn't go. But since I've never seen James Zabiela live, I might consider going, but I'm still undecided.

That would be great...but Avalon will be packed retarded...

I saw Sasha once, and it was his last gig at Avalon. I really couldn't get into his set -- maybe it was because it was just so flippin' crowded in there. Anyways, I'm willing to give the masta another chance... plus I've never seen Zabs.

Posted by MR STROKE on Dec-22-2005 01:21:

does this mean sasha in SF???

Though I liked it, that was an admittedly proggy set...

I think you'll enjoy what hes playing now though Bjorn Dawg.

wtf do you care about it being packed...your tall ass always has a nice view

Yeh. What Sasha is playing now is anything but boring. In the past, I've felt he was abit too minimalistic/tribal but not the sets I've heard lately. He was amazing at Ice on Halloween. Download some recent sets.

I like prog...
I like trance, I like house, I like lots o' stuff.

Fundacion NYC 2005 is one of my favorite albums evAR.

Hehe I don't care about the view, I care about the retards that keep smashing into me when I'm trying to dance! Make me have to do the Simon elbow dance!

Like this guy at Ferry the last time he was at Avalon...

Tall, goofy looking guy wearing a black shirt and obviously blasted out of his mind. He was standing behind me screaming, "Ohhhhh Ferry! Put the headphones back on Ferryyyyyy!!!!" (repeat about 15x) Finally he moved forward and outta the way.

About and hour later he is pushing through the crowd running as fast as he can to the back, presumably to hurl the contents of his stomach in the bathroom. A little while after this he comes back, bouncing off all the people (including me ) in the crowd like a pinball and reeking of vomit. I finally had enough so I raise my hands over my head to cheer and clap, with my elbows coincidentally on level with the back of his head. Three cracks in the back of the head later, he rubs his head with his hands, looks around a bit, and moves along.

and don't be hating on me cuz i'm vertically endowed
