My avg bill is $150 a month - stupid verizon!, they don't have unlimited text messaging so I have to pay $20/month just for 2500 text messages, which even then is cutting it close! My plan is $75 for 1500 minutes, free nights and weekends. And then all the taxes, protection plan, 411 calls. Basically I'm getting reamed!!!

Posted by Col on Dec-21-2005 15:30:

Fuck, I'm gonna be one of the lowest...

Technically my contract with '3' is 35/month, but I get the first 8 months free.
So over the 12 month contract that'll average out at about 12/month.

So yeah, 12 quid. That's for 400 minutes and 250 texts, and I pretty much max out what I'm given every month.

Just yesterday I had an offer to pay a total of around $70 a month for a pack containing an internet access at a speed of 6000kbps together with an internet flatrate 24/7 and a telephone flatrate 24/7. So no additional costs at all.

Did not do it though because the contract details cannot be changed and the contract runs 24 months (bad if you move to another city). What a pity. Good offer.

And my current cell phone contract costs me around 30 at the moment (roughly $35).

I pay between 100 and 120 but I have 2 phones

Posted by lcid on Dec-21-2005 15:48:

$55 w/ Cingular

Posted by igottaknow on Dec-21-2005 15:58:

prepay $.10/min (no taxes or monthly fees)

I use a land line for convos and the cell only for important stuff when I'm not at home.

Posted by xGirlx on Dec-21-2005 16:02:

I'm barely home so a landline does me no good. As for international calling, I use Skype to call my man in London - perfect connection! and it's FREE!

It's 2500 text messages - sending and receiving and yes, sadly I'm addicted to text messaging so I use almost all those up

i've never understood txt msging. phone is for talking and the computer is for typing. seems like a marketing gimic by the phone companies to make more money.

Posted by UWM on Dec-21-2005 16:18:

Depending on how many texts I use it's anywhere between $50 and $100. I really need to get unlimited texts.

it's super-convenient though if you're somewhere where you can't use a computer or make phone calls.

it started as a gimmick but now it's as commonly used as msn/icq/aim/y!m... back before it was in full effect in israel, i got a deal with no money down which gives me unlimited texts for life... that was 6 years ago if not more.

it saves me a ton of money, almost all my communication with friends when i'm not home is with text messeges...

i got friends who spend some $30 on text messaging monthly

Posted by deknician on Dec-21-2005 16:53:

1/month on pay-as-you-go.
