I find that Canadians do oftentimes enjoy coming to American cities because of their "edginess" for lack of a better word.

You'll find a group of people that you click with and the Avalon does have some impressive gigs coming up so I'm sure it will be a good experience despite LA's shortcomings.

Be sure to check out San Fran at some point. Awesome city.

The only comment I've heard about LA is that EVERYONE is in my industry, whether it be an actor/director/producer, EVERYONE is in the entertainment business.

Well, that and how scary downtown LA is at night...

Oh... and how you havent experiences traffic if you havent experienced LA traffic...

First off, you're a lucky fucking bastard for going to LA , having the chance to go to those crazy gigs (you MUST go to Sasha+Zab and to Diggers....the other nights are chokable ).

Most importanly, you're going to LOS ANGELES man, you're going to be completely surrounded by everything film and movies. I heard a story how literaly every waiter in LA is writing a screenplay.

The place might be shitty, I can imagine the prostitues, the bad drugs, the gangs and violence and shit, the traffic (this is something that you have to understand will drive you INSANE....just what I heard!) but the most important thing that supercedes all the bad is that this is a HUGE step for you as an actor.

And who knows...
One day we might bump into each other on the Boulevard and talk shop

Have fun dude and don't go to screening tests or meetings on your comedown
