Unhappy Not that I plan on going to UMF this year, but...

Do the VIP tickets give you physical access to the main DJs and/or an area less crowded than GA where to watch them spin (think TA stage at SF LP)? Thanks.

Posted by tazzz on Jan-11-2006 20:50:

yeah, you get access to some places that are less crowded but keep in mind that it will be further away usually, on behind the DJ for one area I remmeber. now this is two years ago when we had VIP there so I'm not sure if you get better areas now but I doubt it. At one point at the rabbit in the moon show, these peeps saw our VIP wrist bands and said 'hey, yall can jump the fence and go down right in fornt of the stage". There were VERY few people right in front, so we hopped the fence and for about 20 minutes when bunny first came out were so close we could touch bunny...got some great vidz and pics. Then this stage hand came by and said that you had to be working for ultra to be in that area and kicked us out...there several other VIP cats he kicked out too (the guy was actually real mean and physically started pushing my girl and me until I yanked his hands off me and made it clear he wasnt to touch us). so we werent really allowed to be there either. hope that helps, what is 'TA stage at SF LP'?

I seem to remember getting my ticket for Ultra from Groovetickets when I went 2 years ago. I thought this was true because I remember my friend didn't bring the credit card with her receipt and she had to rebuy a ticket. Does anyone know if this going to be an option this year? I would really like to avoid some of the fees and the shipping too.

As of right now. They are automatically taggin on the shipping. ($8.95 I think)
I guess they may not hava a will call this year. Last year after I got out of Space I went around 10. Right b4 they started letting people in. I got my Tix & had no lilke whatsoever. When i returned after taking a nap the line at the will call was HUGE...

So they prob won't do that this year.

Yes, thanks One of the 3 rooms at last September's San Francisco Love Parade after-party was sponsored by TA. They had a fence in front of the stage and everything within that fence (including the DJ platform itself) was accessible to VIP ticket holders, so you could really go up to the DJs at any time, which was awesome

Of course, as soon as I get the money, ticket prices had to go up! It's all good...at least I'm not missing it this year, since I missed the past two. Hopefully I'll meet some of you guys down there. I can't wait!

way too expensive & not worth it...not in at all.

this is only good if you're not going to any conference shows.

ultra has it's positives and negatives.
the vibe is so cool. i love our annual rave!
it certainly has come a long way.
it is such an amazing feeling being around a crowd that big and knowing how much they all love EDM.
going to the bathroom on the other hand...nasty as hell.
def like club'n during WMC but Ultra has a special place in my heart.
the bay, the cruise ships going by, the moon, the lights bouncing off the bldg's and of course PVD closing it out.
thinking about it gives me goose bumps!

me and a couple friends bought our ticket slike over 2 weeks ago, and have yet to recieve our tickets. anybody have any idea what's going on with that?

Posted by hiram on Jan-20-2006 00:28:

they arent sending their tickets till late jan or mid feb if i remember correctly.. to avoid duplication and fakes=/

tickets are not that expensive

Guys/Gals,

The tickets may have gone up but they are not "that" expensive. Think about it, you get the free Ultra 7 DVD (probably worth about $20), then you get to see not 1, not 2, not 3 but many many DJ's live!

I went last year, it was great. I am going again, even if the price is a measly $10 more dollars! Cmon now, you all sound like a bunch of winers. Wah Wah Wah Wah Waahhhhhhhhh.

It's either you want to go and pay or just dont go at all. That easy! LOL

I have to travel from Dallas, Texas. Pay for airline ticket, hotel, rental car, Ultra tickets, food money, and entertainment money and I am not complaining. I will probably spend a total of $1500 for my wife and I.

I hope the people complaining about the amount for the ticket lives directly in Miami Florida!

so true.. ive travelled for the past 5 years to ultra.. cant put a price tag on those good times.. sometimes its good to save money, but other times you just need to let loose and enjoy it

I just received a confirmation noitice. I believe they shall be sent out soon.

Posted by Moyn on Jan-31-2006 18:07:

yea you'll get your tix soon enough. they just started mailing them out last week. so give it some time. i got mine in the mail today. i ordered them 3 weeks ago. so they are on thier way

Posted by PulveriserTX on Feb-01-2006 14:53:

but what about the Ultra 7 DVD? The DVD better be included with the tickets. That would be dumb for them to have to mail out another package for the DVD only, that would cost them more money to ship. My tickets are scheduled to be delivered on February 2nd in Arlington, Texas. woo hoo!!

When are we suppose to get the damn DVD!!!

Posted by elecmfreak on Feb-01-2006 22:51:
