Security at TiC was kind of a joke, IMO. Seems that just about anything goes in Vegas!

i honestly didnt enjoy as much as i did in LA.

maybe because the whole setup was pretty similar. and i thought the sound system was better in LA. but im not sure.

plus i wasnt feeling good at all, so that definetely disturbed my joy. it was worth it though. i think his set overall was good.
can anyone confirm if he played another song after everyone left? cause i was hearing bass when i was looking for a cab

i got a friend that recently moved out of there. move to a bigger city (or closer to a bigger city) and you aint got no problem.

funny how both PVD AND Tiesto finished off their sets with the same tune, way out west - mindcircus, PVD played the original and Tiesto G&D mix.

Here's my review.

Got in very quick. The Orleans Arena was spacious and clean with plenty of bathrooms. Although smoking was not allowed in the arena people smoked anyways. Compared to the L.A show the organization was not up to par. There was less live performances/and or performers and the sound seemed to be messed up a few times. I can confirm that the sound system in L.A was much better.
The countdown could have been on time like Phillipe mentioned and could have been something more extravagent since it was advertised to be "amazing".
Angela Taylor who sang Just Be was HORRIBLE. She butchered Just Be. She should never EVER be allowed to sing Just Be again!
The crowd and Tiesto's participation did not seem as good as the L.A show. I have to say when Tiesto does not look up at the crowd and participate he is VERY focused on his mixing. I guess I prefer a more focused Tiesto than one clapping and smiling with a pre-planned mix. I ended up getting a huge headache from all the smoking and had to leave early -=(
I missed Mindcircus.
Besides a couple of things I would have changed, I had a great time.
Worth every penny.

I was there with 4 buddies We were all extremely impressed (even though 2 of them went to the LA show, they loved the tracklist for this event more).

I was shocked he played the Whiteroom remix of Summer Dream -- it's my favorite remix. My friend who was in line for beer heard it start being mixed in and left the line and raced to the floor to dance to it Blue Circles -> Summer Dream -> Air For Life = Orgasm

By the way, the sound system was ***INCREDIBLE*** I just wish they didn't have feedback issues during the live vocals

A couple of my friends had some drama so we had to leave about 30-45 minutes from the end of the show but I'm damn glad I went. I was actually quite pleased with the turnout too

Oh boy, now I get to tell my TiC Security story of the night:

I show up and proceed towards the cops checking IDs before letting people into the arena. I hand the cop my ID just like I always do when I'm carded. For those who haven't met me, I'm an unbelievably polite person.

The cop took one look at my ID and said "This isn't him."

He hands the ID to his cop partner next to him and his partner says "Nope, that isn't him."

Never in my almost-10-years of owning a drivers license have I been told I wasn't the person in my license photograph. My hair has never changed color and has only fluctuated between ~2 inches and ~5 inches in length. The only thing that really changes is that sometimes I am wearing glasses.

My mind is racing, because this is just such a ridiculous situation. I say "Wait, are you serious? Can you just scan my ID or something?" Which, in hindsight, was a stupid thing to say because that wouldn't prove I was the person in the photo on the license -- but still, what should I have done?

They asked me what my birthday was, which I gave immediately. Then he asked what my address was.. now here's where it gets shitty. I moved 4 months ago, but I haven't been a good California resident and updated my license, and since my mind is racing with "you have got to be fucking kidding me" flashing before my eyes every 2 seconds, I brain farted. It took me about 30 seconds to recite my old address in its entirity including the zipcode.

Still, they were not convinced.

Here's where it gets even STUPIDER. My license picture was taken when I was 16 -- about 2 days after my birthday. The cop was pointing to my license saying (with a totally straight face) "The person in this picture looks to be about 30 and you don't look 30."

I totally segfaulted. I was absolutely dumbfounded. I had no fucking idea what to say at that point. I mean, my license even says I was born in 1980, so the person in the picture couldn't possibly be 30. Everyone I asked after the incident says I look about 16 in my photo. This cop was seriously on crack.

So he starts to tell me I can't come in because I "obviously have someone else's ID." Then as I stare at him open-mouthed and in utter disbelief, he asks if I have another form of ID that doesn't need to have a picture. Thank GOD I happened to take a credit card out of my wallet and brought it with me (I don't bring my wallet to big events). He checked the name and let me enter.

But seriously -- if I had not had a credit card, it was very obvious he wasn't going to let me into the event even though my ID was actually mine. I'm still utterly confused when thinking about what transpired because I don't know what course of action I could have taken if he 1) refused to let me in, or 2) confiscated my license... other than calling the police department and asking for another unit to come by so I can file a complaint/claim......

Sorry for being so long-winded... everyone with me was shocked beyond belief too What a stupid beginning to what turned out to be a phenomenal night!
