back in sept i had tix and they made me stand in line with everyone else... so i figured it wasnt worth buyin them online... idk

I cant believe he's gonna be in NYC on my Bday

What time does Armin usually come on?? And will there be a line outside at that time?

Yes there will be a line wrapped around the street and he probably won't hit the decks till about 1am, granted he gets there on time.

Hmm, that's true. I didn't consider that the party will be at Spirit and not at Crobar. At Crobar, there's usually another line for hard tickets. Damnit!3 I guess just get there early.

Can't wait. I'll probably buy tickets tomorrow. I wasn't able to find a loophole in the '21+ only' table reservations though It's gonna be packed and who knows how long Remy and Armin will spin. Gotta have someplace to rest my old ass

Does Spirit have tables you can get?

Someone tried to procure tables for us and was unable to so we just bought regular joe shmoe tickets. I really wanted a table, next time we're gonna have to be early with that. I wish with tables came line skiping priveledges too!

I always show up at 10 just in case they are letting people in. If not then just ask the bouncer. But at any rate I always get in line by atleast 10:45 no matter whats going on to make sure I'm in there without waiting an hour wrapped around the block.

He's been known to play a request here and there but you won't need to make one for Zocalo, he'll play it.

 I hope so. I'll never get tired of that song. I don't care what anybody says if they download this set and hear all cheese. I wanna basically hear ASOT 228

Posted by BadBadNeil on Jan-13-2006 19:29:

What do you think are the guaranteed other songs he will play? I haven't listened to his Essential Mixes lately.

Was looking at the weird floorplan on their website (more like an architectural diagram). Is there a second floor with a balcony?

Posted by DOOMBOT on Jan-13-2006 19:34:

There is a second floor with a balcony. There is also an area off of the main floor with couches to sit on and there is also a bench type thing outside of the bathrooms to sit on.

Songs he will play? Stuff he plays from ASOT and some not. He will definitely hammer out his productions, Zocalo, Shivers, maybe even Communication III. Then the big name tracks, Purple Haze - Adrenaline, Sander van Doorn stuff, etc... He's the kind of dj that likes to play the newer hot tracks so expect to hear a lot of tracks from recent ASOT sets I guess you could say. Personally, I love to try and ID his intro songs, they are always really good.

June 10th, Mike Foyle feat Signalrunners - Love Theme Dusk (Intro Mix)

How is it? hows the crowd? Is it pretty packed.....sausagefest?

Posted by Blake on Jan-13-2006 19:56:

It will be packed packed packed I'm sure.

The 2nd floor used to be balcony style but I don't know... they enclosed it all in glass. I'll be kinda mad if they don't remove it for this event.

The way Spirit does VIP/tables sounds kinda risky to me but I'm gonna go for it. Basically you call them and have your name put on the list(+ how many guests you're bringing). You buy NO tickets but instead show up on the night of the event and tell them you're on the list for a table. They comp you (and your guests) in (4 person max per table). You then have to buy either 2 $130 bottles of champaigne or 2 $250 bottles of liquor and then you get your table. I asked them if there was any way at all that I could just pay and get tickets ahead of time and they said "No. It's not like restaraunt reservations." Heh... so yeah, guess I'll have to make sure I'm first on line so I don't get jacked .
