Amazing Venue!!

on another note...

This venue is amazing and we'll be opening the doors next Friday, the 13th of January.

It holds about 250 people and the sound system, lighting, and dj booth are top notch. An easy contender for best sound system in the city.

The sound system was designed by Gary Stewart Audio (same maker of legendary sound systems found at Sound Factory, Vinyl, Centro Fly, Palladium, list goes on...).

Here's a link to the system being built.

Hmmm. I wish I could use you & your words to eliminate some bugs that are bothering me in another forum

But then what riles me is saying a whole genre of EDM is crap just because you subscribe to something else. Trance is cheesy... yadda yadda yoo. Same stuff ad nauseum like I want the lecture. It's my opinion and because it's different, doesn't mean it's junk or uneducated.

I'm not being an elitist. I like trance (not as much as I do other genres of EDM, but I do like it), but Talla2LC? Cosmicgate? I simply can't imagine them at a venue such as Love. It has an underground, deep house vibe, which is nothing close to what those artists represent.

Good for Manny and the Philly scene, and I applaud him for it. However, you're asking him to bring talent to a venue that isn't for it. So the fuck what if it has an amazing sound system?? The sound only matters if what comes out of it is enjoyable, and trance simply won't fit in that kind of setting. You're telling me no other venue is right for Manny to start doing things in NYC? Not Cielo or any other venue in the city?? It HAS to be Love?

How does it already have a vibe if it's not even opening until this Friday?

Love has been open for 8 months already.

Maybe the deep house wasn't financially successful so they brought in some new people and they're going a new route musically.

The venue has been open for some months as Highmay stated, however, it was for the most part only open for deep house and soulful house events. And while it was open, it wasn't open on a consistant basis.

Starting this Friday, they will be open every Friday and every Saturday rather than just randomly being open for certain events.

And while i'm not the spokesperson for the venue, i think the club was always meant to be for artists, clubbers, and music of different styles. however, it's not until now that they are completely opening up on a consistant basis and opening the room to these different styles and types of events which is what they had visioned for the club when it was opened.

ok dude: if you look at their schedule and notice that Jo Claussell still has his weekly residency there, you wouldn't draw that conclusion...

Love's mission statement.

LOVE has been built to provide a place where artists are encouraged to push the boundaries of their craft and to promote shared values of respect, acceptance, and peacefulness through the stories they tell.

It is dedicated to the idea that the differences among us should be celebrated, but that our shared humanity, in the end, unites us as one. Our goal is to make the world a little more interesting and a little gentler.

And to throw great parties...
