as said before belle center

Olympic Stadium blew me away with the set up for Black and Blue. Lots of nasty washrooms so no waits there, but tons of room to dance. Of course I was on the hetero side so much less grinding

Bell centre ain't bad but as said earlier, too much lighting and what's with the lights coming on and off throughout the night? 'Prolly too small for BeB. The Big Owe has good vantage points too for checking out the crowds.. always cool when you want to make an impression on peeps that've never been to a massive.

Didn't go to last years BeB but the claustro Tiesto set sounded like a typical concert night at Guvernment in TO.

best forum name ever!

Posted by Spin Laden on Jan-10-2006 01:31:

LOL, thanks.. pathetic me thought about that one for a bit.

Posted by malek on Jan-10-2006 02:12:

for having talked with some people at BeB, having a good setup at the Olympic stadium is a nightmare... its take too much time and costs way more in the stadium because its simply too huge.

not sure if this is do-able, but what about in parc jean drapeau? i went there when i was a little alt rock chick for warped tour (pre- discovering the best genre of music EVER)...but it's beautiful! and it seems like the perfect location for a banging outside soiree

pffffff police shmolice... since when do any of us follow laws.

Posted by jester on Jan-10-2006 03:02:

hmm... fix up 737 for a night would be nice party until the sun comes up on the patio to some nice tunes probably not safe seeing the amount of people doing drugs lol.

Posted by malek on Jan-10-2006 03:11:

durgs abuse is always cited as a main concern by promoters for choosing a location over another... for liabilities reasons obviously.

so places near water or forests are a no go.

Posted by Caela on Jan-10-2006 03:27:

drugs? what are they?

it would be cool if they could somehow fence is in so people knew where the parameters were in the park. but that is a good point malek, i'm sure they don't need people wandering off of cliffs and stuff when it's dark outside...not great publicity.

I have a dream....with Courts!!!!lets make this happenn

Posted by all-nite-freak on Jan-10-2006 03:44:

the concert venue at Parc Jean Drapeau is completely fenced in.It is so big that it would be a problem making it look full. The MTL skyline as a backdrop would be killer, but the noise travelling to the south shore would make it highly unlikely that it will ever happen.

WOOOOOOOOT!!!!! omgwtfparty@parcjeandrapeau!! it gots to be in the middle of the summer, with a HUGE pool near the stage, where u can go swimming...with lots of inflatable balls to be tossed around. and a CrAzY lightshow with lots of green lasers...a dope sound system of course...but only a certain number of tix cuz being squished like sardines in hot weather is a jonze. and complimentary water. yay.

Posted by malek on Jan-10-2006 03:56:

Malek raises a good point about Stade Olympique being expensive and a potential logistical nightmare. That said, read para 4-8 beginning with "Olympic Stadium may not have been..." in the edmm review..

http://www.edmm.ca/index.php?option...d=393&Itemid=15

...it was a wicked setup.. not sure if that prototype can be used for BeB, however.
