I was listening to Armin Only (Part 3) and the vocals of Shivers in it is not just bad, its ugly. Totally out of sync with the whole set. And the whole crowd cheering was never as silent as at this moment. lol

Judge Jules Live@Lush N.Ireland is easily the best crowd noise in any set on the net.Place was goin absolutely nuts.Then again all sets from Ireland have brilliant crowd noise because we know how to party.

that reminds me of another good one, judge jules at gatecrasher summer sound system 2000 maybe? he plays 'marc et claude - sunshine', crowd sings along hehe, i love it

tiesto at dance valley 03 probably takes it for me... notable moments include when the bassline drops in on fancy fair after a wicked transition, when it fades out during the break of electronic malfunction, and when you first hear the adagio melody (back when his version was relatively unheard of)


j00f playing carte blanche at gkgg03 also sends just about every hair on my body standing on end.. especially since i was there and it was my first ever big clubbing event, about 10 mins after i'd first set foot in the main tent

Like that fucking idiot Buster on Party 93.1! He almost killed Tiesto's Space 18Aug02 set, but the crowd cheering saved it.

Another bad one is Ferry's 7 hour Avalon NYC set from Oct04, (Ferryyyyyyyyy!!! Nature 1!! Narure 1!!), but that was a great set that couldn't be killed.

The best, IMO, was Sander K and Pete Tong's WMC04 set that was outdoors. Sick!

I love sets with crowd cheering when the music is still quality...

Erick Morillo Essential Mix from Space, Ibiza....when he plays Red Carpet - Alright....he cuts out the vocals for a second and the entire crowd repeats TOMORRROOOOWWWW....I love listening to shit like that, it just reminds you of how amazing these parties are and how there's nothing on Earth like the feeling you get when you're part of a moment like that!

crowd cheering = good.
crowd whistles = bad
MCs can be good or bad, really depends on how often they speak [generally the less, the better, imo]

There's one Cosmic Gate set, from Trance Energy, I forget what year, where they cut out the music, and you hear the whole crowd singing the tune of The Truth, it's so hot, I wish I was there. I LOVE when there's crowd noise. The more the better, get's me all fired up!

ha another thing, I love the MC in the Ferry Corsten Right Of Way concert from Heineken Music Hall, he just says the coolest shit.

I HATE crowd cheering.
Can't those f*ckers record the set by plugging the recording device into the sound system and NOT by mic (like artists recording their mixes on MD directly from the sound system with no random noise in between)? Would result in better recording quality IMHO...
