Wow. You didn't do E for a week. Damn, homey, you should be on the cover of TIME magazine.

Posted by infinity HiGH on Jan-08-2006 21:27:

if you've been taking E every week since LOL then I suggest you take at least a couple months off it, personally.

you are a champion among men

if u have any willpower at all its pretty easy not to drop.
espically if ur goin there for the music, but u'd rather go for the drugs/get fucked up i assume
its pretty sick that people actually gain weight back when they take a break from drugs,,, like wtf is wrong with u? is that not a slight hint that just maybe, you may be doing a tad many drugs?

thesauce: Do you still like the music when you are sober?

I know that I dont' do E that often, but I love the music either way. I get my energy from the beats.....

But I know a few people that really can't enjoy EDM without rolling or being on some other random drug.......

Posted by Pett on Jan-08-2006 22:01:

i had a quite enjoyable "sober" (booze only) night last night at guvy , wanted to stay longer but the g/f dragged me out..

p.s. dezoke was unbelieveable in the gallery, i was in shock, hes turning it into a cz style crazyness without the complete sketchyness. lovin it

Hahahaha.

I'm constantly astounded by the number of people who don't realize (or don't care about) the extent of their dependency on that drug.

I don't think it's dangerous, I don't think there's anything wrong with doing it recreationally, but if you're doing something every week and find yourself tearing your hair out after "taking a week off", you've got a psychological dependency, and if it isn't affecting other parts of your life yet then it will be soon. And if you have 8 drinks and you call that being "sober", you've got either a drug or an alcohol problem.

And I know I'm going to get 40 people kicking and screaming and telling me I'm full of shit, because, well, half the people on this forum do it every week. Bitch all you want - I don't care, I'm glad to know the meaning of moderation.

Dude why else would i go to Comfort Zone if i didnt like the music... The thing being, I cant last 8 hours or more dancing hard w/o E> I tried and maybe for a coupleof hours yea, but for long durations- no way.. the music is sooo awesome but ur body CANNOT physically last that long when ur moving just relying on music alone.. try it next time. Dance hard! none of that 2 step crap. and do it for like 6-8 hours.. u'll know what i'm talkin about

That I agree with you on. E helps a lot in that respect. Energy drinks just make you antsy. But if every week you're out dancing for 8 hours straight and you need E to survive, maybe cut down on the going clubbing and hence your drug habit?

try pacing yourself through out the night?

9 weeks and counting

personally i'm finding i like partying sober better (and yes, by sober i mean NO drugs or alcohol). my biggest issue is getting HUNGRY. by 4am i am starving. i've tried bringing granola bars in my purse but they don't let me (anyone know a way to get around this?)

and sauce..really if you wanna do the whole night..don't drink! it'll make you crash harder at 4am

Well I think there is some danger to E regarding the way it affects memory. I have seen so many studies that point to memory loss and brain damage similar to Alzheimer's patients. From what I have gathered, you need at least a month between each use for maximum recovery of the brain.
Nevertheless, many of my friends who used (a lot) when it was more popular in the states back in 2000-2001 are doing just fine now (about three years after last use).

Posted by Superstring on Jan-09-2006 00:32:

If you cannot go to an EDM event without popping, then you're not really a trance addict.

You have to be able to enjoy music without doing drugs. Having drinks is fine, and my friends and I often pre-drink (and even drink) inside the club - but the buzz wears off by 4 PM or so...

The person that truly enjoys EDM will be able to dance and party without drugs until 6 AM, as long as the music is good... 8 hours may be much, but a normal person should be able to do 4-6 hours no problem. If you feel the need to pop, that may be a sign that you're not enjoying yourself and the music...

or that you're psychologically addicted to drugs...

6 am, the sketchcases who took 3 pills are all tired and worn out. Cribby will still be dancing like a clown...and totally sober

No.

In the days of the old Boa I would very often take a nap before the party and stay until everybody else left, either completely sober or with a couple of drinks. I found that much more sustainable than drugs, and at times much more enjoyable.

I have observed some people become a little slow and spacey in the midst of frequent usage, although I think that is more a result of the sleep deprivation than anything else.

I like how the docks has pizza to buy alot of the time now. So wicked haha

if it is that hard for you to go out and have a good time without chemical assistance then you have a drug problem.

seek help.

that also goes for people that cant go out without having a few drinks and feeling tipsy at the very least.

i mean, does your life really suck so bad that you are that desperate for an escape? if it is then i would suggest suicide. that way you solve your own problem and we dont have to deal with you too. have a great day!

This is my general frame of mind recently (last year or so).

Wow such harsh words. "..we wont have to deal with you too."?? No one asked to deal with anything. I just posted what my night was like buddy. Its not that serious. I mean honestly, I understand ur opinion is ur opinion, but if its nothing nice, just keep it to yourself, know what I mean. I think this was a pretty good thread cuz everyone had something to say, but saying something harsh like that? come on now. thats a joke.
