Okay, wtf... how did nearly everybody interpret my comment as "everybody will be done by the time they're 30"?
That's not what I said! I was simply pointing out that it was a little ridiculous for the MINIMUM age in the poll to be "late 30s". Not *everybody* here will still be going to afterhours clubs in their late 20s and early 30s.

I don't want to be the "old guy in the club" either...I'm 32 though thankfully don't look it, so I think I'm safe for a while.
I have no intentions of quitting anytime soon...but I'm more and more selective about what parties I will attend instead of trying to do them all.
maybe that's one good (IMHO) thing about the gay community...there's no shame in being 45+ and trashed on the dancefloor once in a while
don't party when you have kids? Why is that a marker? Sure, I hope no one is fucked up or all hungover around their kids...but what's wrong with leaving them with gradma or a friend for the night and doing it up proper with your bf/gf or friends though (once in a while)
I see so many couples who's social life *ends* when they have kids. Some are quite happy and content, which is awesome...while some are rather miserable because they still want to go out a bit and maybe party it up once in a while, but feel that they "shouldn't" for some reason.

Once you have children, you should never have a night off.
You must always have them in the forefront of your mind.
All hobbies and personal interests outside of parenting must come to a halt.
Grandparents, aunts and uncles must never be allowed to have any meaningful quality time with the children.
Above all, one must never take any intoxicating substances once one becomes a parent.
new years was my last party

I'm 27 and I think my years are numbered, not b/c I feel that there's anything wrong w/ partying as one gets older, but I am just finding more and more that it's not one of my priorities, I don't enjoy it they way I once did.

I personally don't think that you can predict when you will stop, it will just be a feeling you have....maybe your body can't handle it, your priorities change, or you just dont' enjoy it as much, but a person really can't predict if you ask me.
If I had to guess, I know for sure that I will slow almost to a halt when I have kids, but I think its important to keep a social life alive when you have kids as well (I just think the drugs, alcohol, and all-nighters need to cease!)
i'll stop sometime

Well, I only really started to party this past year (sad - I know) so I figure I still have a number of years in me and don't want to stop anytime soon.
I agree, should at least stop once you have kids.
you never know - things changes so quickly. ultimately, you just have to do what feels right.
I should stop after I come back from Ibiza after Tiesto's closing party at Amnesia...
until Labour of Love that is
NEVA!!!!!!
