But you don't really catch people doing X at a Coldplay concert.

Yeah... I hear you on the 5-HTP. I just know that I took X last night, along with my friend, and we both took the 5-HTP and vitamins and felt completely normal today. I feel fine. None of that body drain.

I have only started doing this recently, and before I started loading with the vitamins, I would feel completely drained the next day.

But... I don't know if it's really the 5-HTP that's causing the normality or if it's just the placebo effect.

Well I'm definetly going to try it because we are going to both AVB & PVD that weekend and the last thing I want to do is feel like crap all weekend long. I usually dont mind staying in bed and sleeping, but when the kids are home they need their mom. So I have to be somewhat normal And I found out last night that I might be on my own as far as my connect goes doesnt that bite the big one. We just rented the hotel to so we can stay in the city and my husband said no bombs im not going!! LOL. Good for me He'll go no matter what. He loves them both just as I do. So thanks for the advice. ttyl

I can vouch for this myself. It DOES work but please be weary of taking them too closely with the pills and NEVER at the same time. You will get very very sick. A day before and day after is good.

If you take more than 5 rolls double dose on the 5HTP (take 2 50mg), it couldnt hurt, your body will piss out whatever excess you dont need anyway.

Posted by Shamez214 on Jan-16-2006 16:56:

I don't know about that, Z. I normally take a 50MG 5-HTP the morning of. Then I take another right before I take the X. I take 1 when I get home. And 1 more when I wake up. Also, the vitamin before I go to sleep. I've never gotten sick. Then again, I take the "do not eat before you trip" advice very seriously, unlike many others. Anytime I trip on anything, I fast for almost a whole day before hand. On mushrooms, X, and 2C-I, my stomach has never felt queasy.

But definitely be careful with the 5-HTP. Too much can cause Serotonin Syndrome. And that ain't good.

Serotonin Syndrome

Erowid... don't leave home without it.

Done I have read MANY research articles on the subject, so I have not read all of your info provided, however, being a grad student myself, I understand how important it is to collect data, so I took the survey.

Seratonin syndrome is the "sick" that I was refering to I just couldnt think of the right words at the time of writing the post. You can also get seratonin syndrome when you take the 5htp to closely with the E. I fast as well. BTW you have tried 2C-I.....how is that? I dont know anyone personally that has actually taken it but I hear things :P

Well... It's not a "club drug." I don't know why or how it has gained that reputation. I have only done it once, at Crobar for Ferry. It was a great trip and lots of visuals. However, I did not feel like dancing at all. I felt very... heavy? I dunno... I will certainly try again, probably outside of a club setting. The come down reminded me of mushrooms.

He meant a dealer, not info.

BTW, I took your survey, too. It's a bit longer than the advertised 15 minutes. Granted I was watching football, but i think it took me 45.

Thanks for the heads up. I appreciate you taking the time to do it, particulary in midst of football What game ya watchin? I thought it says 15-30. I better go back and check. It's much quicker for non-X users.

I am going to Fordham for my masters now....I would like to become a sex therapist in the future I JUST started my masters research on dual addictions (ie: substance abusers who turn to other addictions, such as sex, food, gambling, shopping, etc....) I will be concentrating (narrowing it down), of course, on the sex part So YES of COURSE I understand!!!

PS: I have hockey to hold me over till April, but I am also pretty friggin excited to get this season going...I am curious to see how Damon will do!

The abstract and research itself is really captivating. (I know, I'm a nerd for this kind of stuff) I'm a psych undergrad myself. I love really technical and research oriented topics. Still haven't decided whether to go to grad school for psych or law though. A career in psych is such an uphill battle working toward a PhD, not necessarily because of the amount of schoolwork that's involved, but moreso because it's hard to find decent paying jobs with a BA or even an MA in psych. So during the time you're doing your dissertation and tons of school work a lot of ppl still end up having to live like undergrads w/Ramen noodles and whatnot. (correct me if i'm wrong)

And yeah, I know about Erowid. I usually do a few months worth of research online and in my psych drug use/abuse and abnormal psych text books before trying anything new. www.ecstacy.orgalso has tons of peoples personal accounts of their experiences on E, both good and bad. People discuss feelings of euphoria, depression, gaining insight to themselves and others, dealing with addiction, meeting their husband or wife, et cetera. Really fascinating stuff. Other than doing research, it's good to just ask people who already have already had experiences with whatever. I figure if you're going to do something, it's better to know as much as you can. It's also helpful to talk to ppl who already have some experience. If you don't know anyone then there's always http://www.drug-forums.com You can pretty much ask about anything there as long as you don't say anything self-incriminating.

I'm not a big druggie or anything either lol. Never even tried weed. But it's just good to be informed so that in the event that I ever want to try anything, I have some idea what I'd be getting myself into (that includes knowing about legal penalties etc). Hope this is helpful, and yeah, the survey was a good 30 minutes but I definately saw what each aspect of the survey was trying to assess. Good luck w/your research.

Tell your patients all problems can be solved with this
Great area to specialize in My friend worked for a sex therapist in NYC, I forget his name but he was billing about $300 an hour cash. NOT BAD

If ya don't want to be poor, go the lawyer route. I'm certainly not in this for the money. I love what I do and that keeps me going. If ya have any questions about grad school applications, if you decide to go the psych route, I'd be happy to chat with ya.
