How many times have you talked to a guy just because he was buying you drinks or have gone out to a club without a dime on you and still managed to get drunk.Show of hands ladies. It works both ways.
Pwned

Perhaps in my younger years. Now I have my own money and am there for the music and to dance. Things change.

you must have had a long history there.
It's pretty normal for this kind of transition when you get into the EDM scene.
But I always miss those clubbing nights at the Dome

The point was not, what my friend did, and yes that was stupid imo also. Its how marco acted...but now that is even over shadowed by how zing handles himself. Its not smart to act out on ppl such as myself. Or anyone. You dont know, but my friend may bring lots of his friends to see marco g, someones night can be ruined by a dj being a prick...and that person can than resent that dj and keep tell his friends not to see him anymore...its just stupid to insult any of your clientel

good thing it wasn't Tiesto then.. or else I am sure your friend would have been asked to leave the club
you are saying you know it is inapproriate to ask such a thing of a dj regardless of who it is but yet you are giving this dj flack for a reaction.. not cool.. doesn't matter if it is zing's dj or not!
and as far as your friend telling others not to go see that specific dj anymore.. anyone who knows anything about this scene will ask why not.. what is your friend going to say? "uh, cuz I requested a song and he wouldn't play it." I don't think that is going to change ppl's opinions that quickly..

that is your loss.. you are going to miss out on fucking amazing talent just cuz your feelings are hurt.. that is silly
regardless of what you guys think is professional and unprofessional here it really doesn't have anything to do with that.. it is all over the simple fact the dj wouldn't play your song.. and now THAT is retarded!

thanks for pointing that out for him but obviously he's a little baby (18 years old) and wants me to treat him like one, so I will just ignore him instead.

I am surprised you say dirtier.
Dome is homeland of pedophiles and Thursdays is homeland of MILFs

And by dirty i mean easy....Picking up a slutty girl at the Dome is like finding a 99c pizza joint in downtown mtl...Its easy cause they are everywhere.

There's always exceptions!
One of my friends ended up dating a hot blonde lawyer milf and got her to divorce her husband. Now that's deranged! Totally!

Tag

Just one question

`What was the tune you asked him ??

He told me that you asked him a pretty fcuking Cheesy songs and either way, you don't ask a dj to play you're song unless you're @ Dome. What do you think Yoji would do if you'd ask him to play Alice Deejay ?? he would told you to Fcuk Off !!

KrinKer

It wasn't Tag that asked him to play the tune apparently.. it was another TA... but still.. you don't ask, that is a given rule that everyone should know..

Posted by Marcus007 on Jan-18-2006 05:13:

Look, here's the proper way of asking a DJ for a track:

"Is there anychance of HEARING say hello by deep dish"

and here is the bad way:

"can you play say hello by deep dish?"

A DJ has a flow to maintain and you can't interrupt that flow by asking for a specific song. Try my way next time and I'm sure you'll get a better response.

By the way, Marco is all smiles behind the booth and I've chatted with him enough to know that he's a pretty cool guy. I'm not saying this altercation didn't occur, I'm just saying maybe we don't know all the facts.

Maybe Marco was having a bad day...

Maybe your friend didn't ask and instead said "play say hello" and Marco took offense to that...

Maybe it was a miscommunication...

Maybe...

I could go on and on... for now give the guy the benefit of the doubt... Marco is a legend in Montreal and I've never heard a complaint about him...

Posted by all-nite-freak on Jan-18-2006 05:14:

ahhhhh Herr Liebing could you please play Eric Prydz-Call On Me?

Posted by Marcus007 on Jan-18-2006 05:17:

I made the mistake of asking if Howells would play Deep Dish.... hehehehe... silly n00b markess.... he crumpled the paper, put it in his mouth, and shot it back to me....

Danny Howells spit touched me... that's right... it touched me.... RESPECT.

I don't know mate! This was back when I still really liked him. He was on fire that nite!

He kept that shit-eating grin on even though you know that he wanted to choke the life out of her! lol

Posted by dj ugo on Jan-18-2006 06:10:

I'm a dj, and i understand when a dj can take a request on a bad side. I mean, i go to sherbrooke, a friend of mine is playing there, the people request is Red Lite, benny Benassi or HARDCORE MUSIC, all those request by the same person. Can you imagine how you feel when you're a prog-trance dj who's trying to build a nice set. But we have to answer whit a nice attitude because people doesn't have the same music education that we have. It's a part of your job when your a dj to take consideration of the crowd dancing in front of you!! So, a dj is human, he can make mistake, but cannot use this attitude each time people asking request even if it's a stupid request!!

marco G suck, his head is 10 time bigger than his talent...
stealing people's ideas to make tracks also is jerk imo

it was probably frustrating to be in the shadow of his friend also
