OK...so I am a old guy...
Orbital was one of the first EDM artists I really got into...and this track is incredible...if you don't know Orbital, IMO, THE best producers ever in the genre....not just a track here and there but full albums of original music that all are completely different and transcend any specific genre...
Incredible Artists, Incredible Track...
The Box, the full version is awesome as well...
Kirsty is releasing an album (it might be out here - not sure - love her voice!)
The Meta Message
1. Just Be Me
2. Fine Day
3. Reach For Me
4. Nature's Kingdom
5. Walking On Clouds
6. Battleship Grey
7. Sincere for You
8. Blackout
9. Split
10. All I Want
11. Beautiful Dancer
12. Whisper
Kirsty first came to public prominence in the early 90's with the number 1 single 'Fine Day' from Opus III. A massive and influential record, this provided Kirsty with a platform to expand her musical vistas and collaborate with a host of pioneers in electronic music including Orbital, Steve Hillage, Youth, Spooky & Rachid Taha. It was her vocal talents that provided Orbital with arguably two of their finest moments - 'Halcyon' & 'Lush'. Since then she has gone on to work with a who's who of today's leading electronica/dance producers and artists including B.T., Hybrid, Ian Pooley, Judie Tzuke, Way Out West, DJ Tisto, Warm and Joshua and Mr. Sam.
Nettwerk One is proud to announce the release of Kirsty's Hawkshaw album 'the Meta-Message' on Nettwerk Productions UK.. Featuring some tremendous collaborations with such artists as Tiesto (Just Be/Walking on Clouds/Delerium "Nature's Kingdom", Hyrbrid "Stealth" and including brilliant James Holden remix of Kirsty's classic "A Fine Day", the Meta Message have been getting accolades all around.
Kirsty is beginning to perform to promote the album; early in the new year Nettwerk Productions UK will be releasing a remix of the single "Reach for Me" by Future Funk Squad. Stay tuned....
"A meta-message is a midi message that is not meaningful to synthesisers, but that can be stored in a midi file and interpreted by a sequencer program - like a voice, lyrics, emotion. When you communicate, it's the overall 'vibe' you give that extends beyond Meta (what your saying/singing)..." - Kirsty Hawkshaw
^ wow, I had no idea Kirsty was on vocals.
