Ah maybe Millson, but he does other stuff too perfectly for my tastes, and I still hate tribal!!

Posted by AnitA on Feb-02-2006 00:29:

My friends called me from Montreal (where they saw Steve play for new year with Oakenfold) - they said he banged it out nicely!

Each set is different obviously.

I really don't think GV is going to have a OneLove crowd, nah uh. OneLove crowd probably hasn't even heard of James Brown...

GV aint very commercial and it definitely aint a house house house lineup. Coursy didn't even get mainstage shock horror!

So I think you'll be ok with the pussy boys Anita, will be a good cruisy day with all quality tunes.

yeah Anita, no need....not to some anyways

GV I rekon will have some of the onelove crowd mixed with rev & 161 & Qbar & The Saint crowd, etc........

LAWLER ROCKED

had such a funny time yesterday.......

Posted by Astral on Feb-13-2006 00:46:

Lawler Played a great set in Auckland on Friday night. I was bit worried he might be all minimal and dark for 3 hours but no - solid prog & dirty big tech and house. All good.

Posted by AnitA on Feb-13-2006 00:55:

Love

We saw him yesterday...UNBELIEVABLE....although I would have preferred if he played a lot more darker!!

Yeah, I caught him at Vibes yesterday...

Great opener!! Then it sort of faded to an average-ish housey set to my ears.

I needed it dirtier and darker to really get me going, but hey, it was easy listening. It did get going a bit more towards the end but not enough to keep me and I had to run and find a good possie for James Brown.

Posted by Astral on Feb-13-2006 02:44:

Did he play the Funkagenda mix of Street Spirit? Huge.

Posted by tathi on Feb-19-2006 12:56:

only three people turn up for lawler? and you call yourself tranceaddicts pffffft

Lawler was great, loved his set, prefer his older tribal house sound but times change

loved the tough electro he played in the last hour of his set, some songs i recognised:
Martin Ten Velden & Lucien Foort - Bleep
Kings of tomorrow - 6pm (mk + mtv mix)
Max Linen - Back To Mine (martin ten veldens bondage mix) <- fucking love this tune!
