In my city, that database is called the county clerk of courts website

And that contains the criminal records/location/photos of pardoned individuals? That's quite ... extensive. More so than any other city I've lived in.

Criminal and traffic records and searchable my name, address, DOB or SSN. The SSNs are often blocked, but most of the other information is readily avaliable. I just looked up my boss and found she sued one of our old suppliers in 2002, and a co-worker to find he was evicted in 1995 from a campus apartment.

No photos of course, but about 80% of the information you can get downtown is avaliable for free

It's probably different from state to state, but I don't think that it's as intrusive as the statutes of Megan's Law. I think that Megan's Law mandates a notification of a change of address at all times. To the best of my knowledge, released convicts are not required to notify the state of their movements unless they are on parole.

Yes, you're right. Coinvicted sex offenders always have to be registered while on parole, and their parole officers have to know where they are.

My county's database simply displays every court case that comes through the municipal court. Civil, Criminal, and Traffic cases all apply. They display the address and prevelant information as it was at the time of the proceedings, but nothing is updated. There are seperate sites kept for sex offenders, but this is more of a publci records type of things. I'd be happy to link you; if you'd like, feel free to PM me

So then give them life inprisonment. Give them the death penalty ... I don't care. Either you stand by the principle of rehabilitation such that once their debt to society is paid, they can rejoin it as free citizens or you don't. Why not incorporate EVERY criminal into a public database so we can see who among us has done what?

Because sex offenders usually reoffend...they are mentally fucked unlike murders who may of acted on rage when they commited their crime.

What do you think rehabilitation would attempt to fix?

they cant be rehabilitated...they have severe severe severe disorders that will always linger in their minds....the question is not WILL they reoffend...but WHEN....be it with a real child or child porn. They are a disease of our society and should be exterminated upon conviction. and yes i am being dead serious.

If that's indeed the case than why aren't you advocating life imprisonment for every sexual offender?

Edit: Whoops didn't read your last post. Ok so what about statutory rape? They're sexual offenders as well. What about fondling but no sex? What about those people who have committed a violent rape crime but have never offended again? Or how about we look at this situation equitably, what about female teachers who rape male students?
