lol... i totally conned my ex into believing that it was common courtesy for the girl to fit facing the door. i do think it's a pretty stupid rule though... i mean who's to say the girl won't be checking out all the hot dudes walking in?

i think the only reason couples sit next to each other is for proximity. but i'm not sure. they would have to be one of those really touchy couples that need constant physical interaction or only see each other when eating out. i see it a lot here. basically, they do it to hold each other's hand while waiting for the food, kiss each other, maybe touch each others leg while having a drink. i myself don't approve or condone this, but it is known that my ex does. baaaa
