I'd pay way more than the $25 I did to protect my hearing. That shit is permanent.

free foam earplugs for everyone

Know a guy who lost most of hearing on his right ear. Ear plugs fell off while he was firing a rocket launcher. (Boy those things are loud)

One slip and now he's partially deaf forever.

bwahaha i was just thinking that. i guess i can take that off my list

Posted by dj_souvlaki on Feb-02-2006 00:07:

i have some custom molded ones. cost me about 150 for a pair. i use em when i used to go shooting. work great but in a club scene i would probably only feel the base and nothing else lol.

hmm tempting i think i might order up a pair of those other ear plugs. those foam ones hurt my ears.

You're lying b/c I've seen you without them.

However...I'm looking into getting a pair. You can't put a price on hearing.

whats the site for the ajuna beats store? the link wasn't working for me.

I'd never go without them had I had them with me.

Sometimes I forget. I'm always reminded to bring them if Branden is going with us that night.

Posted by Stilez on Feb-02-2006 18:33:

Who can buy me a pair? I'll give you the cash for them.

I usually get the free ones the club's give out..or bring my own foam ones. sure they protect your ears ..but as mentioned... sound quality is reduced dramatically.

Posted by Ub3rBreaker on Feb-02-2006 18:34:

just ordered mine...

Got the clear ones

You can just set up a bank account and transfer the money back, so you can actually use it. Just incase you didnt know.

a friend of mine has a pair of dB blockers ans swears by them.

They've got a line designed for DJ's called the convertible vented.

it has a NRR rating of 25 (NRR - Noise Reduction Rating), which lowers the overall dB rating 25 points. While still being able to have a conversation... it pulls out the highs and the lows and filters the conversation frequencies...

they are pricey, but they are custom to your ear, and barely looks and feels like you have plugs in at all.. (unless you got the chord in)

here's the link:
Custom Ear Protect

$100 with shipping
they come to your place and fit you, and you get the plugs two weeks later.

I've heard REALLY awesome things about these too.

Cool- Carbon Computing on Queen E. is a distributor. Will call to check prices tomorrow. Hopefully they sell the extra cases and straps too. Extra cases to hold foam earplugs is always handy.
