If they'll pay, might as well charge. I, too, dislike the high prices. If you want to bring someone along, or introduce others to the scene, the price completely turns them off. (Bradley Rose / RetoxNYC / Flawless are great for this purpose.) On the other hand, made-event does sell the tickets a lot cheaper when they first go on sale. It's a common way of capturing consumer surplus. Sell the first couple 5-10% of tickets for less to gauge demand. If the pace is good then raise the price. Keep raising the price till the pace of sales is just right to fill capacity (100 tickets a day, with 30 days to go). Websites like ticketweb and ticketmaster are great at analyzing sales patterns to predict ideal selling price. |
damn... $30 six months in advance
I never bitch about ticket prices, but c'mon...
that blows....not even the early birds will get any advantage.
and im sure it'll be at least 60 - 65 later on...
Hope it doesn't rain like it did two years ago - totally ruined experience. But even then, I think the most expensive ticket was $50 at the door. Expect your full ticket price (if not sold out) to be $60-$70.
Here's a hint:
IF YOU DON'T WANT YOUR FAVORITE DJ TO CHARGE YOU TOP DOLLAR TO SEE HIM SPIN RECORDS, DON'T VOTE FOR HIM WHEN DJ POLLS COME AROUND.
Armin tickets for $30? Want to keep it that way? Then vote Ferry Corsten as #1 DJ.
Questions?

Please pay attention to the admission price, lower left...

going to PvD at the Vanguard this Friday (LA)
Paul on the Funktion One sound system!
I agree with the price thing!! That is fuckin CRAZY, that is takin advantage of the fan and literally RAPIN us for every last cent we have. BULL SHIT....no offense to made (as I do visit there board) but they are really just being assholes for this...it should be $25 now, I know it's only $5 but like everyone said by the end I bet you it will be $70 at the door and the ironic part is that I think the people standing outside of the gates listening to the same music we paid WAY TO MUCH for had a better time then we did. I say go fuck them and stand outside for FREE!!!

Does every PvD announce thread have to turn into a bitch session about price? I think we've all heard the same complaints (frequently by the same people). I mean, that's just how it's going to be.
Complain to PvD's people, not the people who want to enjoy the show at the price they're charging.
terrable
this event is all ages
i ant feeling that at all

does anyone think that making a petition to Made would be an asinine and futile idea?

You've got a choice between two great djs who are doing free shows if you get your ass out there before 12... AND they're both top 20 on the DJ mag charts. WOW! |
2003's set sucked.
2005's set sucked.
I missed the good set. There BETTER be a good set this year.
Oh and I want to hear that mix of Push the Button that he started with, again.
I think this year should had been armin's or ferry's turn to spin at central park. I got no problem with paul van dyk but come on the same dj twice in a row.Lets see something different for a change. We've seen tiesto,we've seen pvd , now it should had been armin's or ferry's turn. But i guess Made is worried about turnout cause they remember two years ago basically nobody showing up at crobar after they cancelled it on cp due to rain which we never got. By the way that night at Crobar was the best set Armin has ever dropped in new york city. But regardless should be a great event .
If i had a choice i'll prefer tiesto at central park but i'll see him in greece over the summer hopefully, if he has the same tour as last year.

This is his 4th year. He's done it every year since '03. [/QUO
Except for 2 years ago, late September when tiesto was at cp. That year it was supposed to be armin the first week of August but they cancelled it because of the rain which we never got. So they decided to bring tiesto the month after that.
