I agree, all Prison movies are the damn same and this one is no different, only with a different story here and there and with a few events popping in and out. But you've seen it once, you know whats going to happen.

The greatest of all prison movies is Shawshank Redemption and Papillon, nuff said!

how long can they drag the show?

im thinking they find some evidence to post-pone the brothers death, hence the plot thickens!

well they can make '24' episodes of just one day of a certain show....

that being said, I have the first 13 eps & am upto about 10 & It's very good

Watched up to Ep 13 all I can say is it beats every show on Australian tv.

It maybe fictional but everything on tv is.

even bert's new game show

meh. i really do think some people have been living under a rock in the last decade or so if they think this is the best thing since sliced bread. its interesting, but new or innovative, it aint. i thought tnite's ep (4 or 5 i think) was pretty fvcking boring. the narrative devices feel far too contrived to me. maybe im a bit difficult to please, and had this come out 10 years ago i might be more impressed.

lost is much more impressive imo.

oz is far too brutal for my sensitive tastes there arent any characters to like coz theyre all so awful! an excellent show nonetheless, i just dont really like it. seeing all my fave law n order characters make an appearance was cool though.

yeah, but we still got up-to-date babylon 5, buffy, angel all these "new" shows owe babylon 5 for its pioneering of the "novel for television" format everyone in aus only seemed to discover with lost...

you dont have to be a nerd to appreciate the sheer epic scope & ambitious nature that B5 displayed. massive story arcs for the win!

Posted by eROs.au on Feb-15-2006 13:51:

is babylon 5

sci-fi show, aired 1995-1999 (+ 5 movies). had a definitive beginning, middle & end. 5 year story arc. mature, realistic (in its context) and simply brilliant space opera. looks a bit tacky by more expensive standards, but imo storyline is far more important than whether alien races look a bit ordinary, and the computer generated "outside" effects look awesome imo.

oh, and it never felt the need to tease you every single bloody episode like lost! mysteries were answered, logically and brilliantly. and so much more mature than the star trek "earth is perfect and run brilliantly etc" bollocks.

did i mention war? nothing better than a good war i reckon! and B5 has plenty of wars

/end lustful B5 rant.

edit: wiki
