The sad part is, some of you don't like your old friends because they don't like the same music as you.

Elitists.

just hire a bunch of hookers to play warcraft with you.. it will be like benny hill staring the star wars kid

meh.
similar sorta thing has happened to me - the guys i used to go raving with are all unemployed drug fuelled no-hopers now...
sometimes it's better to get out of friendships whilst you still can :-)

didn't everyone tell you to stop hanging around DA, TigerClaw, Nou, and Tweek ... ?? geez .. haha ..

anyways .. it's just those empty gap stages between teenager and adult .. the years when one grows up faster than the rest of the others ... now you make the decision . should you try to help your friends with their growth rate at the same speed like yours, or just ditch them ?

Yeah, I really think you've got a point there..

anyway, I'm in my first year of college now, and most of those friends are in the last year of high school. They are older than me, but inside, I think I'm much more grown up, altough I always act quite happy and young.

So, I study 100 km's from these friends, and next month I'm gonna be living there, so.. time for a new chapter in my life and time for new people!

I'm still 17, so I've got everything still ahead of me I guess

I have to agree, it's nice to share music taste with your friends but that's not everything

I have 2 sets of friends. The ones I like hanging around with most I don't get to see very often and I'm trying to cut off a bit since sometimes I depend so much on them I notice it annoys them. The others are on the other side of the island and don't like clubbing (to top it off, the only guys from my class that like it are wankers i don't like hanging around with). So I don't go out as much as I'd like

Wait until you get older (like me) and you come back from being away at at college and all your friends are married or have kids and have no time anymore to go out or do anything.
