It's cool. But I don't really teams like Liverpool and Real Madrid. I dislike them and that's because I'm rooting for other and smaller teams besides Juventus.

so you see Liverpool as a major dominating force in European football?

Not really. But they're still a respectable team with a number of won European Cup's. They still are the Champions League winners from last year too, besides they're almost always playing very well in European cups.

not in the least I believe that they have average talent at most and most of their talent doesnt preform consistantly like Morientes what happend to him....

I think last season was a fluke and the manager is great in the european brand of football....I still say they could be more succesful in england if Rafa learns the english game a bit better...the reason why L'pool won the CL last year was because of him. He knows the tactics well and can change them quickly....sounds odd but thats how I see it.

Liverpool are still behind Chelsea/ManU/Arsenal to me currently in England a balanced campaign would help.

Now, there's 4 other matches to be played later on tomorrow. I'm still looking forward to that Chelsea vs. Barcelona-match.

Unfortunately, I won't be seeing the whole match and every small sequence of it. But, I'll still keep up with Juventus hard away match in Germany. I'm pretty sure that Werder Bremen can win over Juventus and that everything is possible, even though Juventus is major favourites. But we've all seen the favourites fall, so I'll be respecting them and I hope Capello will do the same thing which I'm pretty sure about he will.

So. Inter is playing against Ajax tomorrow and it should be a interesting first leg in Amsterdam while Inter will be my pre-game favourites.

..and not to forget about one of the games that's not going to be discussed so much here on the forums after tomorrow, Glasgow Rangers vs. Villareal CF. I'm still rooting for Glasgow Rangers and I hope they can show up some good play to entertain us, I don't like Villareal, but I'll still hold them as favourites.

fuck the other games only one I care about is Chelsea v Barca.....second legs if anything suprising happens in the other matches then I will check it out....so FORZA BARCA BITCHES!

Chelsea are my favourites in the 1st leg even though I'm supporting Barcelona

Well done Arsenal, fantastic performance, just like the Arsenal of old, I was very impressed with Eboue, thought he did superb..... a lot of the so called moaners did a lot of tracking back to cover teammates, was really good to see.....

Jens Lehmann deserves a lot of credit, he did very well too! infact every member of the team did.

Thats fair enough, we haven't won the league in 16 years, we do NEED to win it again A.S.A.P

I didn't see the goal myself, but my brother also said that it was a pretty lucky goal that Gomez should've taken.

Bayern Munich was screwed by the referee

That was NO penalty at all...

Pleasantly surprised with the Arsenal and Benfica wins, even if it fucked me a bit on the fantasy football thing. I apparently underestimated how having 60,000 lunatic idiots screaming all match can turn around a team's form easily. That being said, I believe the biggest reason for Benfica's win was that Liverpool blatantly played all match looking for a draw. And that's just asking for trouble, even if your opponent is shit.

Today I don't know whether I'll support Chelsea or Bara.. I like both teams

did you watch the same game?

Benfica-fans are really funny. They really know how to cheer when a goal is scored. It was a great atmospehere yesterday.

yes what are you refering to?

I know Benfica fans didn't exactly scream all match, but definitely there was 30 times more support comparing to the league matches. And it seemed blatant Liverpool was going for the draw since the very beggining - no hurries to take goal kicks and set pieces, slow playing tempo, fairly defensive lineup/formation with Gerrard and Crouch on the bench (by the way was Fowler on the pitch, I only noticed it when he was subbed )

Oh, and I forgot to mention it's yet another english defeat in Portugal, getting a bit repetitive eh?

Karagounis was a real key to the win, the game looked like a certain stalemate before he came in, afterwards they won a lot more free kicks and control of the midfield, surprising to see Liverpool not managing to handle that problem.

A 1-0 win is an excellent result that forces Liverpool to not suffer any goals at home, but still things aren't over, far from it. I'd say Benfica are slight favourites now but it can easily go either side.

We had 2 strikers and 2 attacking players on the left and right of midfield... Not many teams go away in Europe with 2 straight-up strikers do they?

Our strikers hardly had a sniff, aside from morientes once, but I think thats down to Benfica being good defensively!

I don't know how you can say we played for a draw though, I honestly never thought you would score at all until that goal. Neither side created anything. I expect us to have a lot more shots on goal at Anfield anyway, good luck, may the best side win (Liverpool of course )
