Oh believe me I tried that. For a whole fucking month. They still called every day. These people will call regardless. At least when I pick up the phone Cingular wireless has it tracked down on my monthly statement.

Lepanto, yeah I am gay. That's the twist. I actually ordered GUYS gone wild, but they keep calling me about GIRLS gone wild. At first I threw a shit fit and went off about how if I called their cell and hastled them about getting gay porn they'd probably throw a constitutional amendment banning gays from having cell phones. But now I'm just tired of getting phone calls.

I'm going to call their 1-800 number now...for the 4th time.

Oh my god. I lost again!

I called and got a series of black chicks telling me that my number wasn't even in the system. I told them the whole 3 month story and they said they'd put me on a "Do Not Call" list. I told them that I know their tricks and know that they'll call me on that list as well, as they have for the past 3 months. They pretended like they didn't understand.

I even pulled the gay & black card, with no sympathy. I said something like, "Do you know what it's like to be gay and have people call you every day to solicit striaght porn? You're black right? Well, how would you feel if I called your cell phone everyday and solicit white pride videos? How would that make you feel? You think it'd be offensive?"

In the end they told me to call after 230pm when another manager who could help me would be there.

They closed at 230pm.

I'm fucked. Completely fucked. I called a lawyer and am waiting for him to get back on me for legal advice.

p.s. and tangent rant: DO NOT GIVE GIRLS GONE WILD YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION! (I read upon this) a lot of people get billed monthly with new videos after ordering one, whether or not they agree to it.

Can't you have Cingular block incoming calls from that number? I can even do it from my phone.

drive to the headquarters and throw acid in their faces.. problem solved.

contact the better business bureau. IT's easy to file a complaint online.


Also check for a instate do not call list. What state are you located in?


Get the law on your side. Don't just bitch and moan about it and go at it one on one with the stupid customer service reps as they are useless.

I tried contacting Cingular. They said that they could block all incoming calls or none (advanced technology my ass). In the worst case scenario, they said I could have my number changed for free.

sounds like a good idea. But I feel actually pretty relieved knowing that someone actually broke into Joey Francis's home (the guy who owns "Girls Gone Wild") and sodomized his stupid ass with a dildo while taking videos. Unfortunately sodomizer got found and sentenced to jail.

true dat. But I get some information from the reps at GGG once in a while when I do talk to them, like the little ponds who don't care and give me more inside scoop on the company. But I have filed a complaint with the BBB and the FCC just now. So I guess I have to wait for about 2 weeks for them to beat up GGG while I still get calls around 7pm.

Even people within India dont like them, you are like a joke and looked down upon if you work in such comapnies and do such jobs (just like its a joke for people working in fast food joints or walmart and stuff). And the companies who employ such callers and backend staffs dont treat them well in accordance with the employment standards. Most of them work in night shifts because of time difference and thats why they get paid more than what usual day job would pay. Youngsters straight out from college join them and leave after like six months seeing the exploitation and zero career prospects in such companies. But people work equally hard.

And its not stealing, its being competitive, its a result of globalisation and technological advances. Dont open your countries economy and live like Sudan if you dont want it.

Also if you think BPO's are Indian companies, than you are wrong.

Mostly its the MNCs who open ofices here in India and shift there jobs here.

Reuters, Microsoft, Dell, IBM, Deutch Bank, HSBC.... many many more, the lsit goes on... they all opened there offices and moved the jobs to India. And not what the popular beleif is that Indian companies lured these companies to shift jobs in India.

Its like Toyota having a plant in US instead of Japan to reduce costs.
