The feature is called Pre and Post EQ selectivity.

I was browsing music123.com and came across the Stanton SA-5 and the Vestax VMC-180 both seem to have it but i suggest downloading the instruction manuals first. I think they have it because I see pre and post options for each channel on both mixers
forget the stanton i just read the manual its some confusingly different feature that is not what you are looking for

Vestax PMC 170A
If you can find one.
such a simple feature too, wonder why it wouldn't be on most mixers

Go to the Vestax site and see the VMC-185XL, which replaced the PCV175... I have the PCV-275 and I think the 3 channels are independent, but since like 3 people already said it didn't, I'd go with no

| Originally posted by skip found one brand new for 600!!! quite fucking pricey if you ask me, especially as it's and old mixer! i can't find any more info on the mixer anywhere though. not even a high resolution pic, to see the functions better. can you tell me something about it? thanks |

Originally posted by Rebel Brown ![]() There's your high resolution picture! The mixer doesn't have the option to select between pre and post EQ, just that you can't hear the EQ changes when cueing. Which is what you're after, right? I had a quick look on eBay, and there's only like 1 on there, which is quite unusual as there is normally quite a few, they usually end up going for about 100-120ish, which is what my mate paid for his I think. What did you want to know about the mixer? |

| Originally posted by skip thanks for the pic! and yes that is what i am after as long as you can hear the master on the phones aswell. what's the middle channel for on the mixer? as it says "sub" on it. what does that mean? Never noticed that before, still functions fully like the other 2 channels as far as I know. how are the cueing options like? Cueing is pretty standard, you can cue all the 3 channels at once if needed using the PFL switches above the channel faders. The PFL switch on the right above the phones level allows you to listen to the master. can you listen to both channels at the same time? Yep. can you listen to only once channel at a time? Nope. is there split cue? Nope. can you listen to the master through the headphones? Yep, the PFL switch on the right allows you to do that what are the P.F.L. switches? pfe fader listen a.k.a. you can hear that on the phones? You got it. can the crossfader be turned off? Nope. how are the channel faders? are they very exponential like on most mixers? Faders are nice and smooth, no complaints there. how is the quality of the mixer? does it seem well done or does it feel flimsy or something? Solid mixer, all the EQs are firm and feel nice. The faders are nice and smooth, no complaints there. any problems with it? what are the bad points of this mixer? I've only used the mixer at my friends house for a couple of sets so not much heavy usage, but I never experienced anything wrong with it, and I have yet to hear from him saying anything bad about it. do you think i should buy one? maybe even the 600 brand new one? or should i just wait to grab one from ebay from someone who's willing to ship to finland? It is quite a nice mixer, sound quality and build are both good, but I don't reckon you should pay 600 for it. I think waiting for one to pop up on ebay is the best option to be honest. got any info on the rotary kit for it? Apart from that fact that it's quite expensive considering the mixer isn't very fancy, and fairly hard to get hold of, I haven't heard much about it. thanks for your help man No problems! |
Ok I'm playing around with my PCV-275 right now since I'm running it off my computer and Traktor, and I can mess with the EQ of the track being cue'd in my headphones without affecting the track going through the monitors, is that what you wanted?
