He DEFINITELY threw it down....BANGIN

Best thing was he started with a couple of WIKKID house trax:
Haji Emanuel - Take me Away &
Filo & Peri vs Serge Devant - Electrofunk (Lys & Gigi remix)

Then the CLASSIC bangin trance he's perfected, with a few techno trax to add
VERY similar to the set @ YouFM Clubnight 2005-09-17

Best trax:
Mike Koglin vs. Jono Grant - Sequential
Second Sun - Playground (Nu Nrg Rmx)
Marc van Linden - Forbidden Love 2
Paul van Dyk - For an Angel (Marc van Linden remix)FAVE track EVER
Paul van Dyk - Time of our Lives
Paul van Dyk - The Other Side (Deep Dish remix)

It REALLY is a fuckin shame he hasn't been in TO for SO long and b/c of bullshit....

Bottom line: SUPER night - worth EVERY penny and brain cell.
HUGE thank you to Kabelicious - 1st class girl that deserves EVERYONE's respect......xoxo

Really? i looked for the TA's (not that i know many or anything). All in all though, the people that i did meet on the dance floor were very friendly. Good vibe in Detroit. I'll be back for sure

What can I say, I had to get home to see my "family".
Haha...

As for a review..
I was extremely unsure of how I would like the state as a venue, since the only things i had previously seen there were rock concerts....but it was great!
Sound was absolute top notch, and there was lots of room to move, as well as levels where you could move up or down and either be right in front of the dj, or slightly further back but on eye level with him.

We missed most of Kenneth Thomas but got in just in time for Jerry Bonham, he is a great opener.
Second time I've seen him open for PVD and both times he's been great.

As for Paul, he was fantastic. The last time he was here in toronto was my first time seeing him and I got the impression that he didn't interact well with Crowds, and was a bit boring to watch. After the last two times I've seen him I have completely reversed my opinion. He was really great, rocking out like crazy.

The end of the night made it, with the last two tracks being For an Angel and Time of our lives...

My only complaint is with the silly laws in detroit that everything has to close at 2. Paul was visibly fighting with the owners to let him play one more track and they wouldn't let him do it, they just pulled the plugs, literally.

But never the less, a great set from a great dj.

Thanks again for everything Vrk and Kris, you guys made the night.
