Very good bassline... had me going nuts on the dance floor. I think this was my first time seeing a full set by him. Other times he just opened for some headliner and wasn't that spectacular. But last night he proved that he can dish it out like the best of em. Good seeing a bunch of peeps out. It was nice meeting you daves and Ally. And big surprise of the night... Chris all the was from Calgary. Good seeing you having a great time there buddy! Just wanted to add that TiL is now definitely one of my favorite venues. The staff was much nicer than what I saw at Deep Dish and the crowd itself was very pleasant and seemed friendly. It's nice not seeing a place full of sketchbags and just mature people partying it up. |
Pretty decent night. Wasn't supposed to go out, but I though...blah! why the fuck not! So after a nice 30 min chat with Tara at Osbourne station while waiting for my friend we finally arrived there at 11ish...it was pretty much dead, including the dancefloor until about 12:00. I stood around for a while, didn't feel like being the first freak to own the dancefloor at such an upscale venue lol...the vibe didn't kick in yet. I saw beautiful women from every corner of my eyes....including a few hot tamales
lol. After dancing with such a boring crowd at the right side of the floor, I decided it was time to move to the sketchier area...where the TAs were going nuts
Fortunately I felt more like home, and my feet also agreed.
Pretty good tuneage throughout the whole night up until 3 am...where Copeland just totally lost me. After resting for a bit I decided my business wasn't finished, so I went back and managed to be one of the leftovers dancing until closing time - 4:30 am which got me pretty ticked off, considering I was far from being totally satisfied. Like Graham said to me...that's the time when we reach our peak haha. Still...it was a 6.5 hour set, the place was empty, and Brad was probably tired, so I wasn't in that much of a bad mood.
WTPLOW...I was so glad when he dropped Cirez D - Punchdrunk...and if that wasn't enough to get me going insane, Copeland played Full Blown's new single....STRIP POKER!!!!! (Even though I told Tristan it was called Casino...oops haha.) It sounded retarted live...and Cribby was moving like a puppet manipulated by the devil LOL.
Great time partying with the fun and dirty bunch of yas. Was surprised to see Chris there...although I wasn't too happy with his behaviour close to the end of the night...he accidentally broke my friends shades..the dude must of been really hammered lol. There were some faces that I wasn't in the mood to see...but in no way did that affect my partying. TIL has become my new friday hangout for 3 weeks straight now, and with that ****** Donald Glaude coming up, it looks like I'll see you guys again!!! What I really love is how TIL is the median of a place like System Soundbar and Lot332. Mixed older crowds...I think that's what Misstress B liked too...No 100 sketchy asians and raver kids could also contribute to that

Best night out I have had in awhile! Brad was kick ass...
Only regret was that is shut down sooner than expected..
Hope Brad will do lots more extended sets in the near future!
Such a solid night. There was a very good turnout, I'm glad quite a few people were still shaking it on the dancefloor when I left by 4. Brad showed off a range of styles throughout the night with great technical precision. Kudos to him & here's to another extended set in the near future.
p.s. Chris, glad I had someone to chat with while waiting.
