i like those designs, over populated with media/ads. i like to see how coperations run and dominate the world in 1 little hot spot that gets million viewers per day.

The best public squares that I've seen have been the simple ones, exactly as described by Emery - an open area with a fountain or statues and some trees. Toronto has this mentality that if we want to be a world class city we hafta try to be something like New York as hard as possible .. rather than trying to create and define our own identity with something more creative than this..
