Best one I heard him play was Two Tribes 2002...now he fucking munched everyone that night!

don't dig his new stuff - his music has become too 'smart' for some.

Posted by Philby on Mar-08-2006 05:19:

what do you mean by 'smart' chris? where have you been anyway?

Posted by Aesthetic on Mar-08-2006 08:54:

People that listen to psy have an iq of 400, it's science.

i must have missed that subject at uni hehe

seriously listen to the set i said, global trance grooves 33, there are 2 psy tracks, by the same artist, and they aren't really on the crazy side either, one of the best mixes i've heard from him.

boring? anything but! you base your opinion on one set playing in an arena dominated by hard style djs?

Posted by Aesthetic on Mar-08-2006 09:31:

Joof @ GK 2002

synaesthesia (pvd remix)
universal nation (ferry corsten mix)
digital blonde - legato

nothing will top that =)

hehe 3 encores - joint was going absolutely spaztik at like 7am. Ill never forget that one either - there are highlights of it on the abc documentary - God is a DJ

i dont think j00f plays anything trying to be over intelligent - i just think hes a purist thats good enough to make it work

j00f plays proper trance, not many people do that anymore its sad to see that trance has been so diluted

anywayz ill probably be at earthcore, dancing with the hippies lol

Lets see, that night he came on after someone playing 145 hard shit and finished with someone after him playing 145 hard shit. What the fuck did you want him to do?

Posted by muli on Mar-09-2006 22:50:

he doesn't ALWAYS play psy, he only plays all psy in his harder sets.

Give him 6 hours and he will start off with deep dark progressive and build it up to trance, finishing with psy trance.

Give hime an hour after a hard trance dj and he has no choice but to bang him out.

anyways fingers crossed he gets a proper sydney tour this time, where he gets a long set!

Posted by Aesthetic on Mar-09-2006 23:27:

That sounds pretty good to me.

His set at Home (2004?) was wicked... It was just a shame the place was only half full.

Can't wait until he lands in old Sydney town again.

I'm heading down to Melbourne in June anyway, so I'm going to make sure I time it with J00F!

Posted by Axolotyl on Mar-10-2006 19:08:

JOOF at earthcore?!?!

About time he started headlining some festivals. Fuck, he might actually play some proper twisted shit then instead of just astrix remixes. lol.

Posted by Aesthetic on Mar-11-2006 01:17:

Nothing wrong with astrix
