Trance manipulates the colours of my mind <3
Its just so much fun... thats really the only way i can describe my love for trance.... its ALWAYS a good time no matter where i'm hearing it... whether its at a party, at home or even when i'm out and about and its pumping through my headphones... its just plain fun to me
Nikitha
i can't really think of a reason. i just love it
...because its the anti - hip hop.
cuz i like to "throw my hands in the air and wave em around like i just dont care"
uhhhhh NOT
cuz Tunes are good
and my ears, body and brain like it

as well as my pants LMAO
I first started listening to trance because of the energy it had ... used it to get me psyched up for a vaction trip I was going on. And that was beginning ...
Now, I like trance because I'm f'in addicted. There is no going back IMO
edit: yes, it is rad as fuck
Also, what's with all this I like trance cause of a pill lameness ... I'm pretty sure you like everything if you're rolling.
Because Trance is not just music, it's an emotion. No other music can stir up such powerful emotions like tears, or joy within seconds or minutes. Someone once said that "Music is what feelings sounds like" and i haven't found a genre that that applies to that as much as Trance
I mean how can you deny that abosolute feeling of freedom and euphoria when you hear that particular bassline, or instrument, or voice, that sends shivers down your spine and makes you feel like you can fly!

*sheds a tear*
Trance moves my body AND my soul
Cause it puts me in a TRANCE and makes me want to DANCE.
Cause I can forget everything and get lost in it and not have to worry about anything for the moment I'm in it.
I JUST DON'T LIKE IT, I LOVE IT, I LIVE IT, I CAN'T BE WITHOUT IT
Like cocaine to a junkie trance is the fix that keeps my spirits a lift.
Now that I have exaggerated like mad I must stop.

the only music i can think of thats more emotional then trance are film scores...hence why trance djs remix film scores
adagio for strings
nickelson - ying (solid globe remix)
braveheart (oakenfold remix)
etc.
nice to see that a discussion like this still exists and trance is still strong with all of the 'i've moved on' attitude from so many ppl. i got into it in 2000, and still love it just as much today!
Nothing like the raw energy some of the more pure tunes give off.
DJ Vesiga vs. Jomar - Nightoperator (Club mix) <- and my current custom status
Rank 1 - Airwave (Original)
Kevin - All in my mind (original)
And so many more.
I <3 trance simply because it requires no attention span whatsoever, and therefore it is a welcome change from the hectic pace I have all day long...
Really I just think trance fixes all of the problems that exist within other genres of music. Music sounds good because of the complex melodies and harmonies, the rhythms, the tone colour, the progressions, etc. So many of those things are lacking in pop, hip hop, and other genres (when's the last time that you heard a hip-hop song with any deep musical harmonies?). Classical music has all of that but it just isn't fun to dance to. Yeah sure, movie scores have all of the intense melodies and build-ups/breakdowns, etc... but you can't throw your hands in the air and go nuts to them without the predictability of the 4/4 kicks and a steady tempo.
So trance is the best of both worlds. It's musically profound like many great classical works, but still fun to dance to.
My favourite trance songs all have interesting chord progressions and tons of polyphony... take a song like Tastexperience - Highlander. There are at least 8 or 10 layers of MELODIES. Not 8 or 10 layers of percussion like you'll find in lots of progressive/house/tribal tracks, but MELODY. Even a track like PPK - Resurrection is quite complex. You won't find many tracks like that in rock or hip-hop.
I'm not as big of a fan of the "let's compress the shit out of one big synth" movement that's been heard in a lot of trance tracks as of late. Yea, it makes the track sound big and fat (similar to what distortion does to guitars), but if the melody itself is not that interesting, then people will get sick of the song pretty quick.
cuz it makes me feel cool
Trance recovers me, enjoyable and is progressive.
cause you can actually FEEL the music

a TRANCER SINCE 1993 - with no end in sight!
repetitive layered manipulated melodies - the music between the notes
trance has depth - this is what I like about it - getting lost in the music - different journeys for different people
trance music stimulates in varying degrees a myriad of emotions depending on the listener
IT JUST FEELS GOOD!
WIKKID WIKKID!
it's 10 o'clock - show me your cock!
