TOguy can tell you about the lucky river card he pulled on me on Saturday... lol

Poker is a game of odds, stats, and skill over a long period of time... luck DOES play a part on a short term basis. Yes you can get rivered a few hands in a night... but the point of the game is to invest your money when you have a higher than average chance of winning... and fold when you have a lower chance. Over time (days, weeks, etc) this general rule will pay you hansomly.

I'd definitely consider it gambling... much like the stock market is a gamble.

I don't play poker to "become a better person"... I do it because I love the psychological warfar...

LOL... that hurts... he can't even remember....

you were a big chip leader after taking out the 3rd place guy (DJ_Elyot)... I was slowly stealing blinds until we were almost exactly even stacks...

Last hand..... I look down at A-K suited... I raise significantly... you re-raise me all-in..... I call immediately.... you show..... K-10 unsuited... you're dominated... Flop does no good... Turn's no good... 1 card to go for the win... you have 3 outs in the deck... about 5% chance I figured...

bam.... 10 falls... you pair up and beat me
