So, anybody wanna buy a Sony Cybershot DSC-U50 with a Sony Cybershot carrying case and a 128MB Sony Memorystick Pro Duo?

Barely used (seriously).

And believe me I know your pain...I've fucked up my share of cameras.

Oh I know you can relate. Where do you think I'll be able to find the 300? I've been looking for it at Future Shop...Best Buy...that kinda stuff...and I can only find the 400. I may be able to get a 400 or 450 for around $300-$400...but I'd rather not spend that money if I don't have to! I like closer to $200-$300. I'm thinking I'm gonna end up just buying a new camera if it's gonna cost a bit more than fixing my current one. I like my camera...I don't feel I need the upgraded version. So if I can get the 300 from a good quality store, not just off some cheap place on the internet that I don't want to trust, then I will do that.

I've actually bought some expensive camera equipment from online stores. You can't beat their prices.

I recommend Adorama.

But yeah, the SD300 is older and the big boys have stopped carrying it...

I will keep an eye out for you Lisa.

Yes, what you showed me on your screen is definitely considered physical damage. ************ of whether you actually physically damaged it yourself. I see the same case come in all the time. For whatever reason, the screens are prone to cracking like that (same with iPods) and that is not covered under warranty.

An LCD is a bit different. Provided there is not an obvious crack in the screen - say some of the pixels are blown, or as was stated the interlacing with intermittent picture is the problem - that's a technical defect, which is covered under the one year manufacturer's warranty.

THAT'S WHAT YOU SAID LAST TIME! Why do you keep lying and putting these words into my mouth!! I never said I didn't want it. It would be nice to have since I don't have a camera right now and am virtually dying.

Well if you've had experience with stores than maybe I would consider it. I just don't want to get it from some place I don't know and I don't know anyone who's purchased from them either.

Thanks for the help Cam.

Ahhh I understand what you're saying here. Thanks for the clarification

You can have the damn thing, chill. If you were to just get the replacement LCD from Canon for that $66 USD Lisa, it'd take about 10 minutes to put in. Don't worry about messing things up, because hey, you don't have a warranty anymore anyway.

Hell, I'll do it, like I said.
