i have a bit of a noob question

i'm led to believe there's 2 versions of this, correct? the one bidor posted a sample of is the one used in isos4... but the one i got from itunes & have heard played out once or twice has noticeabley less percussion in it; just a standard hihat loop instead. do the two have different names? i think the one i have sounds alot better... the shakers in the other one are quite annoying

this is one of my favorite tiesto productions... a lot of emotion is in this one... it's great how pumping and chaotic it gets at times during the buildup...

the tilt remix is a great remix and makes the record a good buy with a nice trancer on the a side and a nice progressive trancer on the flip... both have their moments but i give the win to the original mix.

ps. in case you did not know, check out paula cole's "she cant feel anything anymore"...

yep as keith said. tijs lifted the vocal sample wholesale from the paula cole track. the loves we lost is pretty much a remix of the track. done pretty nicely tho.

I think its just an edit he made for ISOS. dont think its available anywhere and imo its shit compared to the released one. sounds completely watered down..

Let's face it, the "ferry basslines" and "benno de goeij sounds" are just presets.
I don't think you can really judge who's done more of the brainwork by the sounds that have been used to make it.

Posted by keithos27 on Mar-21-2006 15:12:

iTunes version was called the "vocal remix" or something like that...

released versions were "origianl" and "tilt remix"

Posted by skip on Mar-21-2006 15:39:

i don't understand what people hear in this tune. IMO it's just bland and boring, oh and that balloon rubbing sound indeed is horrible!

Desperate? I thought the track was fucking awful. It's incredibly basic and doesn't sound any better for the simplicity. The very rough techy bottom end and that awful synth are rendered pretty much moot by the use of airy fairy female vocals. If it's aiming to be raw and banging it shoots itself in the foot, and if it's aiming to be uplifting yet techy then the two cancel each other out such is the bluntness of the production.

Tiesto has produced quite a few tracks now in this style, and this has to be the worst of the lot. I can't see what's so desperate about this alleged slatefest, because I describe the record and exactly what and why I think it fell down.

i prefer the Paula Cole version.. if you're after emotion, there you have it.

that said, i do like the Allure release, apart from the Joyenergizer sounds in the beginning of the track

+1

Second best tune after Suburban Train IMO.
I don't think this work is as basic as some other trance releases nowadays, this one really stands out.

I like this track in it's entirety.

One of the last decent things he's done.

Meh, not IMO. Tiesto has made a lot of better and more soulful stuff, the latest being Forever Today, I think.

I believe it was Tiesto Presents Allure- The loves we lost..not tiesto making it himself

oh i love that song too..but i haven't heard of any remixes out for it. Is it true he was to only play songs that he produced at the Parade of Athletes?

yeah, best thing in over 2 years. hands down. this track shows more promise for me to start listening to tijs' trax again.

what i love about this track, is that it doesn't sound like all the other billion trance tracks out there, it has his own special feel.

seems like Tijs still has some inspiration left...

Posted by tart777 on Mar-31-2006 22:36:

Listenin' to Tiesto's right now! I love it. The ripping sound is hella cool.

Posted by iammesol on Apr-01-2006 06:07:

Last good thing he ever made. With that said, he made it in '03, released in '05. I just can't wait for Music On My Mind.
