yes the highly curved fin gives it away, as well as the horizontal tail flipper.

Thats the best idea.... any paddling could be misinterpreted by the shark as potential prey thrashing about..... that would be a bad thing.

i was just watchin the discovery channel two nights ago and they had a segment on some dude who was deemed a professional "shark petter" or something..and it had a video clip of the dude just reaching out and literally grabbin the snout of the shark and "playing" with it...some ppl..

But they were so friendly in Finding Nemo!

On another note, if anybody wants to play a game where you hunt sharks with harpoon guns as a scuba diver, here:

[[ LINK REMOVED ]]

It's abandonware now, so no legalities with posting it for full download, I took this from the-underdogs.org just before they went under (hah).

As the heartbeat gets quicker and louder, you turn around with speargun in hand and the only thing on your screen is the multiple rows of teeth on a great white. You didn't even see it coming.

The game is kinda scary in the later levels. Easy as hell though.

I love Great Whites.

When i was in California and Hawaii I was a little hesitant of swimming in the water but I still did it. I went out pretty darn far in Hawaii too. At one point i was kicking with my body board and i saw a HUGE dark shadow under me. I nearly died. Turned out to be a giant rock. lol. I was so scared, but was out there being reckless anyways. body surfing in HUGE waves FTW.

I would love to go diving with great whites... in a proper cage of course. Oh god I can just see them come out of the mirky water towards the cage. what a rush

I was the exact same in Hawaii this summer. And with jelly fish too...I get SO freaked out. It's mostly psychological...yea there are chances of getting stung, but I'm sure I could at least DIP my feet in the water! Haha

I swam in a lot of places, but if there were ANY signs at all saying that there may be jelly fish, I would FREAK OUT and barely put my legs in, let alone my feet!

One time actually in California awhile back, I was scared there'd be jelly fish and I was dipping my feet in the water and walking around the beach and I felt something grip my leg and I screamed and ran off...I went back to find out it was a ziploc bag.
