4 in the morning till 12 in the afternoon, lordy i was f'in wrecked!

8 Hours and copius amounts of alcohol, went into a club at 10, came out at 3, started raving at half 3, started spinning at 4 and i was completely knackered when 12 came around and i had to time my piss breaks.

12 hours straight, for three consecutive nights just before xmas. In conjunction with that, ( was in december just gone)- i worked basically for 16 or so nights doing 5 or 6 hours a night for the rest of them, had xmas day off, then worked on the 26th, 27th , 28th and 29th- then drove to the airport at 3:30am and got on a plane to the states.

One 12 hour was ok, but the second was harder, and the third I was a dribbling mess and hated everything, everyone, and every record ever made.

Most weeks I work for 5 or 6 hours (or longer) three or four nights consecutively.

No idea how many tracks- dont keep count.
Oh- and these are all in clubs/bars too.... not at home

how much did you get paid for all of that?

I'll turn your roommate off! You tell him I said that!

A little over an hour. I don't have enough records for anything longer.

My sensation gray set for the CORe was 8 hours. It was funny getting some listeners at the start, and having completely new ones towards the end....which meant I could play songs twice!

Me and dj_bas did a back to back (2 tracks each) set on new years day 2006 from 9am to 6pm.

On my own I've mixed for about 5 hours straight, without it getting messy. Counting sets that just got ridiculous I've gone for 10 lol.

Well I never planned to play that long it was just that when I started I didn't want to stop. Green tea helped a lot though haha

4 1/2 hours last night at a place in a nice resort area where they are trying out for the summer DJ job, which is Fri/Sat nights. All powered by a coffee and a cola. And my trusty Traktor laptop.

After 3 hours there is a bit of fatigue.

I did lots of house, & house 80s remixes plus requests. I even got in a little Prodigy, psytrance, & trance. I could probably do more in the summer but the locals right now aren't really into it.

Endless requests for various hip hop. Basically the crowd likes top-40 but they did like the house I played, just as long as I switched to other stuff for variety.

I'm not sure I want the job though, we haven't talked about the $ yet, the speakers aren't too hot and I dunno about the top 40.

Thats cool, see my school wanted me do dj, and i would love to spin house remixs, but hip-hop and rap rule at my school... well anywhere really... How did it go?

They wanted me to come back last Saturday night (with pay) and play a variety of stuff but I didn't want to do it, felt kinda bagged out when they called and I don't really want to be a juke box type which is what they want to a certain extent. The speakers - barely tolerable. Cranking out hip hop, 80s, top 40 on a bad sound system all summer is NOT what I want.

However on rethinking, I might see if I can still go there, on the potential that I can change things gradually. Also just for fun & the experience, like how often does even a lame DJ opportunity come along, 2 nights a week in a resort area? I got requests for a well-known hip hop + Michaeal Jackson and some others, so maybe all I need to do is get a few CDs of that stuff to keep em happy. And maybe can slowly move them over to EDM a bit. They like a mix of music, I think if they see that people like the music that is what counts and in the summer there will be city people who will like my tunes better probably.

I played mostly funky house and mainstream commercial house, but they called it "rave music" which is funny cuz I would be booted out of a rave for playing that stuff.

If the speaker setup can be improved, and a few other physical changes it would be better, and I know there will be lots of people there in the summer, it's a beautiful area and they have the only club, just needs some updating, like a lot of pubs/clubs outside the main cities.

Once I was in San Fran visiting my friend from college Raul and Raul was into the drug scene, you know, pot, hash, blue ones, red ones, yellow ones etc etc. Anyway he was cookin up some mescaline and he spilled like i dont know 400 hits on my arm and I was all out of it and i dont remember like a month of my life but Raul says I span for 4 days and i only got up to go to the bathroom like 3 times.

Its $ when it comes down to it dude....also good experience. Often some of the best lessons come from the worst venues. You never know where it may lead.
