Hey there... I'm from the Glendale/Burbank/Pasadena area. What exactly are "recoveries?" I haven't heard that term before... Whereabouts do you live now?

Well I've been to Burbank. I live in Melbourne, a sunny suburb called Kew. Recoveries are where you gather with your friends after a gig, play lots of tunes and eat sweets and drink powerade!

Badass! Recoveries sound like fun. How'd you like Burbank and LA in general...? How does it compare to Melbourne...? I'd really like to hear about your experiences here!

Property values

This is off the music topic, but I figure I might as well ask. Does anyone on here know what property values are like in Melbourne vs Sydney...? They're SLAUGHTERING in LA!

Cheers!

Sydney is uber-expensive at the moment!

Easily the most expensive property market in Australia.

I only went to Burbank to fly to Vegas. My aunty lives in Sherman Oaks and works at the Beverly Glen Deli in Bel Air. My whole family loves LA, its like a 2nd home. People are so nice to us when we are there but I guess it really helps to know people

Hooters in Santa Monica is the shizzle!

Byron Bay

Wow, so I checked out the Byron Bay site at http://www.virtualbyron.com, and I'm pretty amazed at the entire environment. It looks so lush, relaxing, rejuvenating... and seems like the perfect place to go to find a spiritual side and all. Seems really... far out. Maybe I should go somewhere that's outside of the common city life I'm used to. That's all cool and all, and maybe that'd be awesome, but, how true to these pictures is the real Byron Bay? Anyone know what the weather is like there? And of course, is there a trance scene there???

U guys rock!

hot in summer anyway'
and err no i don't think there is much of a trance scene there...i think its more of a tourist destination, once you start living there for a while i guess come summer you would probably get kinda annoyed at all the drunk hooligans fucking up your town........

yep, byron has sold out!

maybe worth visiting but living there... probably not.

You don't wanna go from living in LA to living in Byron, unless your a closet surf fan.

Sydney city is the better city just in terms of the way it looks and we have all this shit there like the bridge and the opera house etc, but melbourne isn't as packed with people, it's more laid back, cheaper, better for shopping if you like that shit and imo the deciding factor, traffic is 132894723984798x better.

yeah cause the designers of our city had this brilliant idea of having all the main roads in a nice little grid...unlike your whacked out city

FUCK TRAFFIC! Although I don't think traffic could be worse than LA. God damn, one day, if I'm governor of California, after saying thank you to all the people for voting me into office, I'll officially declare the following day "Nuke the 405 Freeway" Day, sponsored by the Bin Laden family for the State of California.
