to moral hazard

I was planning on saying something similar but i take enough stick from some corners that I didn't want to end up in yet another argument like that.

sue her ass. the kid is just as much yours as it is hers. it takes 2 people to make a baby

I've certainly been given second chances but that's not to say I fled from the consequences of my failed first attempts... they are different situations all together.

I can assure you that I have never, in my adult life, attempted to avoid the consequences of my actions. I was raised to honour duty and obligation above all other things and responsibility is something to be sought rather then avoided. Hell, I'll take responsibility for things that aren't even of my own doing simply because someone has to. IMO honouring one's duties, obligations, and responsibilities is what makes a male a man and there is no higher duty, obligation and responsibility then fatherhood.

My friend is going through this now....it sucks. He offered to pay for an abortion but she wanted to keep it.So because she wanted to keep it and he didnt have a choice,he wants to be involved in the childs life but she keeps dodging him and making him feel guilty. So hes going to take her to court and try and get custody....that will teach that bitch. She wont let him be alone with the child...she always has to be there. I cant wait to see the look on her face when shes begging for visitation. He has the upperhand as far as being able to afford and house the child. it's threads like these that make me think that approximately 99% of the people on TA should be sterilized.

Actually, she has the upper hand because the baby came out of her. Trust me...unless she's proven criminal or drug addict AND he's clean as a whistle, she won't lose custody. It's a little priviledge one gets when they carry a baby around for 9 months.

He's right. When my sister got her divorce, she shouldn't have gotten the amount of custody she did but American courts are hyper lenient to females, as I'm sure you know. Depending on how this lawsuit in Michigan plays out he could file similarly. I suggest filing suit as soon as possbile.

Still Moral has made several excellent points and to discount him would be unwise.

I know and understand that...all he wants is equal visitation, and Im sure he can get that. Shes trying to say he can only see the child once a week for an hour with her supervision

See now. It wouldn't be my responsibility if the other part fooled me. She basically, with that action, justifies getting her tongue ripped out if she persists.
