Oh, and for the ones that say US doesn't have the ba11s to attack Iran: I hope you realize it takes ba11s NOT to attack Iran. We don't even have to send our troops in. Remember Hiroshima and Nagasaki???? Those were tiny bombs. Our nukes today are thousand times as powerfull. All it would take is one nuke dropped on Teheran. Iran would be US's b!tch for the next millenium. Actually, come to think of it - the entire middle east situation would get resolved rather quickly. I can guarantee that all those muslim extremists would think again about flapping their gums or attacking US.

Look what happened to Japan - 2 nukes and they went from enemy to US's best friend. So, sometimes you just have to take the belt off and give proper ass whoopin' to make a point. It takes ba11s NOT to use use nukes. It most certainly would not take the lives of 2000+ american troops.

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Let me point out something to you (again), nukes simply don't get used these days, you realize that Iran perhaps may not HAVE the bomb, but Iran has allies that do (China + Russia). There is not a World War going on right now that's costing millions of lives, therefore there is no need for DESPERATE measures, such as using 1 of the United States' 50,000 Nuclear weapons. It doesn't take balls to not use the nukes, it takes brains, and thank god there still are some in the US government, because nuking countries IS NOT an option, given it has not been scientifically proven that these MUCH MORE powerful Nuclear weapons would cause unbelievable and horrible environmental ramnifications on the planet, something the guy in YOUR Avatar/Display name said when he was refusing to help the American government to help develop the original "fat man" and "little boy" bombs. Luckily he was wrong about the original two bombs, but who knows given the fact that the bombs/missles today are exponentially more powerful.

Even though i agree with the use of force in some cases, using extreme force, such as nukes, can only bring more problems. When the US threw those nukes on japan who else had nukes? ATM how many countries have nukes? Seriously its not like the US is the only country ATM that could start launching nuclear misssiles. I seriously hope your just joking around. If you are, disregard my post. If not a big to you.

In reality all money only really is about control.. and our Goverment can just Make money if they feel like it.. National Debt doesnt really mean shit

if every american and immigrant in america would pay $60,000 you could have a surplus of $9,000,0000,000!

Posted by jester on May-02-2006 18:34:

One way... seeing there is about 8.3 million millionaires that live in the USA now.

Have them pay $240,000, and give them a nice tax break for 4 years.

8,300,000 x 240,000$ = 2,988,000,000,000$

Plus have some corporations give the rest of the 6,000,000,000,000$.

Start of at 0$ debt.

What would be the rationale behind such a move? They have been successful so they should therefore be forced to sacrifice a huge sum of money just because? Hey, why don't we just kill all of the homeless and unemployed? Sounds just as fair to me.

Exactly. The Federal Reserve can never actually go 'bankrupt', since they set the price ceiling and interest rates.

If nuclear weapons are used, there are going to be several serious issues that will spawn as a result. For one, if one of today's nukes exploded on a country, the fallout would consume its neighboring countries, causing violent weather patterns and unusual environmental activity. Chances are it would probably SEVERELY damage our ozone layer, causing the temperature of the entire planet to rise. And isnt global warming already an issue? A nuke would speed it up exponentially, melt the ice caps, raise the sea level, and drown several of the world's largest cities.

So yeah, I'd say no to nukes.

Typical liberal thinking. Why would you? All these millioners that have all of this money have worked all thier life and earned every penny of it. What makes you think these people should pay all these taxes just because of a goverments fault. Plus, all these millioners run 99% of America's economy. 10% of America's population controls 99 % of its economy. So with this stupid solution that you have, it will actually hurt it.

I'd be careful not to say ALL, as in 100%; a lot of money has surely been handed down through generations, and surely there are plenty who probably don't deserve the amount of wealth that their balance sheet would indicate, but then again, the same could be said for a lot of the megaball lotto winners that see their lives ruined by their seemingly "good fortune".

But in any event, those millions were made at some point in history due to wise choices, smart investing and hard work. Just because you have wealth envy doesn't mean it's alright to try to forcibly take money away from someone when it is more rightfully theirs than it is yours.

Your right, I didnt word it well, but yeah,I agree with you.

$240,000 from a person from that has $1,000,000 to $999,999,999. In one year and doesnt have to pay taxes for 4 years, I dont see the problem.

One thing many of these people do give money like this to charities for certain tax deductions.

Pretty much what my father does.

Its helping some part of society but not all of the society.

As much as I can not stand poverty, atleast give them a chance to try and make a living.

Yup thats my liberal way of thinking, oh well. I come from a very liberal country.

If you didnt have a debt problem you wouldnt have certain countries buying up major things in your country.

It doesnt bother me if you dislike my views.

---

Let see hmm... each person can give $1/year for the next 3,000 years for all I care. Just will be more problems for your country.

---

The reason I said tax the rich for that amount, seeing some wont even notice paying that amount of money and will probably make it back within a year.
