These ppl didnt care about the music whatsoever, they were there for only one reason to show off themselves!!! Fkn disgusting! Ppl were bribing bouncers in fron of me. $20? nah! $40? nah 60 fkn dollars! Thats how much it costs to get inside "in a cool way"! DISGUSTING! screw this place! we went to footwork. That was my first time there. The music was ok, i didnt like the venue though. But thanks to all the TA's I still managed to have a good time. I've never been, but I love how consistently and powerfully this club is offending so many of potential patrons in the electronic scene - the ones that just love the music and go to simply dance and have a special time listening to their favourite house DJs - it's quite remarkable and unfortunate. It really is.

I'm in total agreement with Sasha. This is the fucking last straw! 3 STRIKES!! Right when I got to TIL my friends were already out of the line. Billy was refused entrance very rudely. Fucking bullshit. At that point, I didn't even want to bother to try getting in. The lineup was disastrous, and there were alot of really dissapointed faces outside the lineup. I can invision the smirks on the faces of those snobby arrogant bouncers, and that ticks me off even more! I was really looking forward to seeing some friends I haven't seen in a long while, and what really upset me was that my cousin, who's a big fan of sanchez, was planning to come here from Ottawa...and he's 21. Fortunately he didn't, otherwise Cribby would have gone so ballistic that the Insane Clown Posse would be jealous lol. But fuck!...They were really strict about it, and I don't think the promoters could have done much to help the situation. What REALLY bothers me the most, was that several of my female friends who weren't 23 or over got in. Like wtf! I'm REALLY tempted to dress up as a woman one night....
LOL...nah..It's totally not worth my effort! Such a great venue wasted on such nonsense. It's ok though...I had a pretty good night afterwords. We decided to go to Footwork, which ended up being pretty decent despite how unenjoyable it was the last time we came after being denied from TIL. Tunes were good, and the clowns' enthusiasm was still off the walls. Manzone & Strong made up for it, especially since I heard Royksopp - What Else Is There. Some really fun moments include me and Billy going mental on the dancefloor to some remake of an 80's hip hop tune . It's too bad Footwork closed a few mins before 5 am...cause I was just getting started. The night was supposed to be my return to the craziness. Mission Accomplished But TIL...NEVER AGAIN. I'm tired of getting paranoid BEFORE entering a club because of non admittance. BAH!
To the ones who made it in...I hope you guys had a blast! Once again...Happy Bday Ally and Steve. Sorry I couldn't be there to party with you guys.
Sasha, I'm glad I encouraged you to come to Footwork. Even though you didn't really like the venue space, I hope you at least had a somewhat good time. I didn't get a chance to say bye to you and Mona though. Pffft :P

i still cannot get why the fuck that stupid girl couldnt find my name (well, not really my name, but the name Sean told me to use to get in) on the G/L and she didnt wanna show me that sheet so i could find it myself. Bullshit. I'm fkn sure I was on the list and she just lied to me. please confirm it, Sean!
And wtf with that 23+. If they didnt have room to accomodate everyone, wouldnt it be smarter to let in those who were lets say in the first quarter of the line and have waited longer than others!

*edit* little advice to This is Bullshit Nightclub's management. Sell your tickets IN ADVANCE. Implement some marketing strategies for god sakes! Who's your target market? If you are not interested in customers who cares about the Music, let them know! Bringing big names and make them spin in front of the crowd, 80% of which doesnt care about the music, while most of the true music lovers cry outside because of some stupid rules IS WRONG and disrespectful to DJ's first of all! But if that's what you want.... please admit it at least! and WE wont bother you again! save our, and your own time and nerve cells!

What lame management. All of these top 40 downtown clubs are the same. Impersonate crowd & vibe. I don't know how they see a techno event there when Laurent Garnier comes on the 28th. Sorry to hear about last night peeps but I guess there's a first time for everything.
I said it right from the beginning....if you don't fit the style or look they want you don't get in. As far as I'm concerned TiL will never see a single dollar from me. I agree with you Sasha.....TiL has to learn who their target audience should be and how to make sure there is some order to what goes on.

With the exception of the rude, packed crowd, and the occasionaly elbow in the face and finger in the eyeball, I had a fantastic night. If you could overlook the insanely bad crowd and focus on the dirty beats provided, only then could you actually enjoy yourself.
Barato opened, i felt the beginning of his set went absolutely nowhere.... his trackselection was questionable at best in the first hour..... sade? LOL. Anyways, he did redeem himself in the last hour banging out some exclusive miami material, and some good chuggy bleepy shit. Had me groovin nicely in anticipation for the S-man.
Sanchez took to the decks, and immediately the energy in the room was brought to the next level. Unfortunately, so did the sound.... I dont know what it is about these headliners playing this room WAY too loud. When those extreme highs are cranked to decibals of insane amounts, and you feel your ear drums being fucked with, its not a good thing imo. Also, you'd think dj's would take the hint when during a build up, half the people in the club have their fingers in their ears! haha.
He played lots of good shit though, chuggy tribal, and lots of nice big room house material that had people going off even in the wee hours. You could tell the man totally enjoys delivering the goods, i dont recall many moments where he wasnt grinning ear to ear. He finished the night was some serious classics as well..... and yet again, a night at TiL is cut short by the staff JUST as it felt like the people mustered up enough energy to go a few more hours at least. A solid 200+ were still in the crowd when the lights came on @ 5:30..... why the place wouldn't stay open til at least six tells me that they really are still catering more to the 'come to be seen crowd - aka i just bought this gorgeous $700 shirt, love me.'
With all the ups and downs, goods and bads, sketchy and entertaining moments I had a fuckin blast. When Roger in in the house, it's a fuckin party.... and he really knows how to work a crowd. Sexy, dark, and driving house music all night long.
Thanks to Mr. Cassidy for the guestlist, and doing a fantastic job (yet again) at making sure your people are taken care of. Keep up the good work dude.
p.s. - i actually found the door staff to be quite friendly this time around..... but i think it was because my girlfriend was looking hot as fuck, and that scored me some 'cool points'. lol

i've been two times @ TIL ,never had any problems myself but last time i was there for Masiello they didn't let in the couple that was behind me in the line while @ the same time two dudes paid their way in. the bouncer said to the kid his shoes weren't 'apropiate'.
i'm afraid the next time it can be me the one they wouldn't let in. for that same reason last nigth i took my friends somewhere else.

Here's the thing people. You know what this club is about before you go, so either you accept it, and do what is needed to be 'granted' entry, or sit at home and post all day about how much you hate TiL.
While I agree that their consistancy with acceptance of style is COMPLETELY random, where one shirt is not fit for entry, but 'cool' running shoes are.... the system is obviously that of a flawed one. They focus on many of the material subjects that most of us 'party people' frown upon, but that is the way this club chooses to operate.
So, next time you plan on going to TiL, throw on your nicest outfit, make sure you are 21+, and find a pretty lady to accompany yourself, and chances are you will get in, and believe it or not, have a good time.
It's a shame when shit hits the fan, but you guys seriously cant be surprised when it does happen. Admit 'defeat', and take your business elsewhere..... don't let the bouncers high and mighty actions ruin your day (because ultimately, they would be happy if they knew it did).

It's too bad about the whole bouncer issue since it's a great venue and they've been getting some great talent. Someone should tell the owners/managers to read these forums - if they really care about their patrons they'd do something about it...
In the end though - Floorwhore's got a point - you can't let it get to you and don't let them ruin your night... it's not worth it.

hey, i dont have any problems with a dress code, or 21+. I had a proper I'd and was dressed approprietly! But I also respect consistency! I followed their rules, they didnt! "It's 21+ night, but we're not letting you in, because we've just decided to make it a 23+ event. you have to leave. bye!" out of the blue! wtf? show me, where does it say that last night was a 23+ event? They could easily bring some other DJ instead of Sanchez last nite in this case and just say: "Sorry, guys. We've just decided that Sanchez isnt good enough for our venue, so DJ Big Cock will be spinning tonight" And it would still work, cause i repeat, at least 80% of the crowd doesnt give a fuck about the music. sad.
