Sometimes the best time to got to a particular restaurant is shortly after it gets busted by the health department. You know there's not going to be any more roaches in the food.

If this is true, one upside might be that shady places and people become less shady. Blatant idiots might be less forthcoming. However, I don't think people should have to hide in the first place, but that's a different discussion ...

+1

I would come all the way from Montreal to protest with everyone if it did happen.

such wishful thinking from those of you who think this could never happen and never become serious... even if the clubs open again it's the gesture that should anger you...

I'm glad we have brave law enforcement personel protecting us from the horrific on-goings at these "clubs".

Heaven forbid people have a good time on the weekends and ingest substances that will only harm themselves (if anyone)...

They must be paying off some major people to be able to stay opened after being caught selling alcohol to minors, beyond that you can assume these minors are also consuming controlled substances.

Re: clubs raided last night

I was having a quiet drink in the village last night with my gf when I saw this on the 11 o'clock news. Most of the story centered around Avalon, but they did profile all 7 of the places. Then, when we were taking a cab back to midtown after Sully, you could see the red and yellow notice signs on the door. Ouch!

Excuse my ignorance but is this the Avalon that's in Manhattan? The one that looks like a church building, and has a hip-hop room and another bigger room?
