I've always thought that the lesser height, the lesser record wear because there is not as much force being put on the record in that case. Plus, I've always heard that the tonearm should be as level as you can get it with the platter, and no, I get absolutely no skipping with the height at 0.

Again for the antiskate, I've read otherwise that the best option is to leave it at 0, so as a dj, you are able to backcue and scratch without skipping.

Well that's true and i think it's wise to leave the tonearm height a 0 and set the antiskate as the same value as the weight if you are only going to beatmix leave it at 0 for scratching. Setting height on the tonearm is only going to give you more downforce which will result in more wear but that's why turntablists set it at maximum to avoid skipping when scratching. Setting the antiskate is only necessary when you experience skipping.
