-- DJs that have spoken out against drugs?
Pages (4): « 1 [2] 3 4 »
No Pills, Pure PvD!
also, in the Ibiza's Children documentary, when asked about drugs, Armin says he only enjoys "booze and my girlfriend"
How about booze and my hand? I sleep with a new chick everynight and I dont pull out. No child support here!

You think teens should take drugs too? They dont know whats right or wrong, all they know is whats cool. Not a good statement there. Drugs are bad period. |
so teens cant tell whats right and wrong but as soon as they turn 20 they become responsible adults

Honestly every person is different on how they can handle a situation whether it be getting "High" on something being offered to do drugs or to jump off a mountain a person has choices always, people forget that and pressure can be a factor especially to teenagers that really dont know better. bottom line people should think twice and understand consequences for ALL their actions
Its obviously that you dont have a clue about what drugs do so untill you do...
i have done my share of drugs and i do understand what it does to a person..
I think you need to take what DJ's like armin and pvd say about drugs with a pinch of salt, mainly due to the numerous pictures of them absolutely out of their skulls
i know blank & jones and mauro picotto do drugs, they were doing coke last time i saw them at a party in toronto. not 100% sure if it was coke, but they were on something.
pvd is a hipocrite he used to take drugs but as soon as he decided to stop doing them he starts a anti drugs campaign.
Wonder if it anything to do with him pushing for that number 1 spot hmmmmm..... lol trying win some fans over i think

i think its pathetic that people need to take drugs to enjoy trance. this means that they dont actually like the music and need to be off their tits to have a good time. i love dance music and clubbing and never take drugs (i have tried e, but it didnt make me have a better time), i listen to it at any time of day and dont need drugs to 'enhance my experience'. i hate the stereotype that you have to be a pill head to like trance, this gives the genre and the scence a bad name and reputation.

Take everything in moderation I say.
Tabacco and Alcohol are the only legalised substances but they cause more problems than any other drug that I know of. And I reckon that it's down to abuse of that substance.
So legal or illegal, they're all harmful but in moderation they can be safe and fun.

You'll never get a real answer outa Dj's regarding drugs because they have to protray role models for their younger fans. If they went around saying that they pop 12 pills a night and wash em down with PCP and a few lines of coke their diarys would clear up almost instantly.
I remember someone asking Tiesto this question a few years back ( pre-adagio) and he said he couldn't answer it and hated being asked stupid questions. He's hardly gonna admit being a recreational junkie now is he????
Chances are - the scene being what it is - that most if not all have been exposed to and have indulged in the drug scene that the genre is famous for. Why would anyone risk the dj's reputation by asking them is beyond me - in fact its just rude tbh.
And as for asking them what they think about the people that take drugs at their gigs - a dj is hardly gonna bit the hand of the crowd that pays him is he?? The dj that proclaims " I hope no pillhead ever comes to one of my gigs again" is gonna have a pretty quiet gig on his hands.
Don't need drugs to enjoy trance in any way, it's captivation enough I find. Though it is pretty trippy when you're stoned

Not exactly a DJ or an anti-drugs quote, but Daft Punk have said that they don't enjoy doing E and don't think it's important to enjoy the music. I can't remember the exact wording, but it basically amounted to them wanting music that sounded great even without chemical assistance.
