lol

in all honesty, if i get that territorial error and can't get the track legally off any site, you might as well download it off p2p. i mean fuck, there making it that much harder to get a legal copy, so fuck em. there loss..nothing you can do. sucks cuz im a quality whore and want 320 kbit all the time. nothing you can do sometimes. hopefully in future, they'll fix this retarded error and make every contract within any country..i mean fuck who gives a fuck what country pays for what track, it makes no sense to me.

I hate this shit aswell, I've found afew real gems, and can't fuckin buy them, I really don't see what the problem is, its no different in my eyes from me buying the vinyl in say the UK, and getting it shipped here, its just the vinyl in this case is an MP3, and you have it transfered (shipped) over the internet.

does beatport accept paypal or echeck. I'm sure theres a way to get around this problem somehow, im just not sure what it is yet. gonna ask around i'll let you guys know.

Anywho...
This shits me aswell and i fking hate it! But since TA is global if you realy wanted it you could get someone to buy it for you, you can pay pal em the amount and they can send it to you. Its a big hassle but it depends on the size of the order and how badly you want the track.

Posted by Frode on Apr-12-2006 14:41:

Just buy it elsewhere:

kompakt-mp3

I dunno if a CC would hold you back - can't you add it to your cart and then sign in?

Im telling you it does hold you back.
Tried it, been there, got the t shirt.

Sourced the Cd promo instead (back when I first encountered this middle of last year) on ebay from germany. they dont want my cash, its their loss.

Posted by HotDogWater on Apr-12-2006 17:09:

Damnit... this seriously sucks

Posted by nrjizer on Apr-12-2006 17:22:

Seriously, how is it any different than, say, buying the record off Juno and having it shipped to the US? If you're going to fucking insist that Beatport not let us buy the track because you own the rights to it here in the US, then why not offer it for download yourself?

And then you bitch about how piracy is killing the music industry.

Would anyone in the UK/Europe like to buy me a wav copy of Sharon Phillips - Want 2 Need 2 (Switch Remix)? Will trade for some juicy hard to find mp3s...

Posted by Tenshi on Apr-12-2006 18:14:

i have a solution for you!

you people could gather (for example a guy from the usa, one from the uk and another one from germany) and could buy tracks for other people - then you get tracks bought you can't get because of this territorial error.

Posted by Floorfiller on Apr-12-2006 19:24:

it really is counter intuitive. the whole purpose of making the switch to an online digital market place is to have an unlimited supply and global selling market. why would you ever want to limit it?

Sure thing, find someone you trust and you're set.

yes, most scene releases will sound fine, but it's all about the principle/ethics of only playing BOUGHT tracks.
